5 Steps That Can Take Your Blog To The Next Level

Tips To Help Take You Blog To The Next Level
Written By: Sprinkles of Style Team
It's no surprise that when you first start a blog, you don’t always have a sense of direction.
Sure, you might know that you want to write however you might not always know exactly where that’s going to go or who's going to benefit from your content. So, you create a name, choose and design and start writing - great!
Over time, this will attract traction and you'll slowly grow your readership and enjoy the success of blogging and writing but - it doesn't always happen this easily. More often than not, you have to work for it, really work for it, so having advice and guidance along the way will really help you grow your blog and take your blog to the next level.
That's where we come in - here are 5 things which can help you take your blog to the next level.
Focus On You
First of all, if you want to really make a difference, you'll need to make sure that YOU drive this. You are the one in the best place to harness your readership and grow.
You could look into online management courses or marketing classes to help improve how you schedule and organise things.
An essential thing is to network with people in the industry you're involved.
Just make sure that you're investing in yourself too as this will essentially help improve your confidence and how you portray things on your blog.
Personal Marketing
Next, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re really maximising on any marketing that you’re doing.
One of the best ways to do this is to get personal.
Talk to your readers and interact with them. Email them with a newsletter every so often, offer them things like discounts and exclusives and make it personal.
Get to know what they want to hear from you - the more you tune in to your audience, the better the interaction will be and the wider your audience will become.
Authenticity
This is the key. When taking your blog to the next level - you have to make sure that you're being as authentic as possible.
It's essential to connect to your readers and followers so - just be you! Don't pretend to be someone else as over time, this won't work. Your followers and readers will respect you for being you.
Transparency
This is something that a lot of readers crave - transparency from the bloggers they love and follow. Show what behind-the-scenes, the good and the bad - this allows people to connect to you in a positive way, especially if they're bloggers too as more often than not, they can relate to both the good and bad sides of blogging.
Creating A Plan
If you're really serious about growth, then you need to come up with a plan for it.
Think of your blog as a business - once you do, you’re going to be in the best possible position to make it grow. Think about what goals you’re working towards and what you really want to do with your blog.
Work hard and be patient but overall, love what you do!

I’d really like to start interacting more with my audience and hearing more about what they’d like from me content-wise etc, I’m just not sure kind of…I guess how to get in contact from there to hear that feedback? If that makes sense?

I completely understand what you mean – you could try writing a post about blogging and what you love/dislike about it and then ask your readers what they would like to see!?
You could also focus on what you want to write about in terms of what makes you happy, what you feel connects with you and the ability to connect with your readers….. if that helps? 🙂 xxx
These are all such great tips!
