4 Types of Dresses For Your Summer Wardrobe
Summer is here! Yes – it’s actually here and in this post, you can see the 4 types of dresses for your summer wardrobe!
Every summer, I think it’s safe to say that we all look for new clothes to add to our wardrobe but I bet you’ll have at least one of these dresses!
The thing that I’m seeing at the moment is a lot of people recycling and styling things in a new way.
Team your dresses with sneakers / trainers, layer your necklaces and accessories – overall, have fun with your outfits!
Ethnic and Boho Dress – 4 Types of Dresses For Your Summer Wardrobe
Ethnic and boho dresses are a great option for summer!
With their statement designs and bold colours – you can style them with cute hoop earrings and flats for the day or heels for the evening.
Take inspiration from Leonie Hanne wearing this ethnic dress with a summer bag, slick hair and hoop earrings.
Maxi Dress – 4 Types of Dresses For Your Summer Wardrobe
What’s summer without a maxi dress? I absolutely love them as they’re so versatile!
Personally, I wear maxi dresses with a heel – a to be specific as this just gives the dress a bit more of a ‘flowy’ feel.
Maxi dresses are great in the summer and can be worn from around Spring time too – just style them with a lovely denim jacket.
Strap Mini Dress – 4 Types of Dresses For Your Summer Wardrobe
Fun and flirty!
Strap dresses and mini dresses are lovely – not only do they look great but they’re lightweight, helping to keep you cool on warm days.
As you can see, Aimee Song from Song of Style has worn this strap mini dress with sneakers.
Not how I would style this but it’s a great way to be comfortable – especially if you’re a tourist and exploring a new place on holiday.
Floral Wrap Dress – 4 Types of Dresses For Your Summer Wardrobe
Floral dresses are my current go-to – I love, love, LOVE them and think they’re perfect for your summer wardrobe!
What I love about floral dresses is the fact that they add that touch of colour to your wardrobe – effortlessly.
You can opt for a black dress with a pink and red floral design or go all out with bold colours.
As you can see further below, I’ve worn a red floral wrap dress – it’s a wrap effect dress which accentuates curves and I styled it with ankle boots.
If you want a bit more of a statement, take a look at Chiara Ferragni who wears a floral wrap dress with shoulder pads – maybe more of an evening look?
I cannot wait to read all your lovely comments and see what you all think about these summer dresses.
Do you currently have any of them in your wardrobe? What have you currently got your eye on?
Let me know what you all think!
