We all love a beauty product launch however in this post, you’re going to see so much more! That’s right, this isn’t just a product launch post – in fact, it’s a whole collection launch!

Here, you’ll be able to get the very FIRST look at the PUR Cosmetics Out of The Blue Collection which, simply put, protects your skin against stress caused by high-energy blue light.

As you can see, I was invited to the UK launch event for the collection in London. It was an early start but it’s always lovely to catch up with the PR teams and have a chat about the new collections and brands.

I know that a lot of you will be wondering about this collection and how it all works so below, you can see a few questions and answers.

Question: WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?

Answer: Blue light is part of the visible light spectrum, which makes up only a fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum. This ranges from the highest energy particles like gamma rays and ultra-violet light down to the lowest energy particles such as infrared, microwaves and radio waves.

Visible light is the only electromagnetic radiation that is visible to our eyes.

Question: WHAT ARE EXAMPLES OF BLUE LIGHT?

Answer: Blue light can come from a variety of sources.

The most natural of sources is sunlight. Artificial sources are what we normally think of when we hear the term ‘blue light’ – this is things such as your smartphone, tablet, TV’s and computer screens.

You know, the things which most of us tend to use on a daily basis…

Question: WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF BLUE LIGHT ON THE SKIN?

Answer: Through studies, it’s been seen that blue light like ultra-violet (UV) light can have damaging effects on the skin.

This is due to the blue light which penetrates deeper into the skin, causing oxidative stress which then leads to the visible signs of ageing.

Question: WILL THE LIGHTS ON THE PACKAGING BE DAMAGING TO MY SKIN?

Answer: No. Especially not now with the help of specially developed products!

Whilst we’ll never be able to escape all of the high-energy visible blue light, the PUR Cosmetics Out of The Blue Collection is something which can help due to the ingredients and anti-oxidants which are used in the products.

Question: WHICH PRODUCTS CONTAIN BLUE LIGHT DEFENCE?

Answer: Many people think that the Out Of The Blue Collection consists of just makeup but that’s not the case!
