Having Some Me Time – Why It’s Good To Be Alone
It's good to have some 'me time' once in a while and in this post, we're showing you the benefits of how spending some time alone can benefit your mood and energy.
Hey everyone!
So, it's the weekend and normally motivation posts are shared during the start of the week however - the weekends are great for making time for yourself, to get away from the daily stresses and ensure you're ready for the week ahead.
There's nothing wrong with taking some time out once in a while, in fact - it's good for you!
Introverts naturally enjoy their own company but for those of you who are social butterflies - it's good to get away from things and yes, this includes turning off your smartphone too.
Below, you can see some pointers to just how valuable it is to make time for yourself and get away from everything.
You can do what you want - including snacking on Chocolates!
OK, so if you know me you'll know that one of my weaknesses is chocolate ad whilst I try to remain as healthy as possible, who can resist such treats!
When I take a day off I normally turn it into a pamper day to really relax and rejuvenate - this is normally a day spent at home, relaxing, watching TV, taking a bubble bath and eating what I want - including luxury chocolates.
If a pamper day doesn't take your fancy, think about your creative side.
Is there something that you love but don't have the time to do - read a novel or develop skills for something you've longed - a day to yourself will allow you the time to do what you've always wanted.
You can take the time to reflect on life
Life is just too busy and with everything that we need to juggle in a day, it seems like we can't gather our thoughts however - you need to find the time to reflect.
Reflect and see what makes you happy. Anything which makes you happy, do more of.
Anything which makes you sad, anxious or feel stressed is something that you need to work on removing from your life.
Take the time to sort out your priorities and focus on the positive aspects of your life.
You can de-stress
We all de-stress in different ways however alone time is what most stressed people crave - being away from anything and anybody that may increase stress levels.
Another way to de-stress is by meditation - you can easily meditate at home for 15-20 minutes per day as this is now also seen as a mental health benefits exercise as it allows you to gather your thoughts and gives you the time to focus on the positive.
You'll feel refreshed and in a happier more positive mindset which is the key to ensuring you're happy in your day-to-day life.
You know that I love reading your comments so let me know what you think.
Do you make time for yourself and if so - what do you do? Do you pamper yourself? Do you go for walks or stay at home and read novels?
xx
Sometimes it’s true that I really need time alone to just relax and chill out, being alone with my own thoughts is sometimes the best way for me to just figure out everything that’s on my mind- you know?

Exactly – LOVE how you agree with this. It’s great to get away and make time for yourself and your thoughts – there’s nothing better and most people need that time alone to reflect. xx
