Go Big For Your Home – Luxury
It's time to spend, spend, spend on your home and in this post - we're sharing our tips on what to look out for when refurbishing your home.
Hey!
It's the Sprinkles of Style team and we're back with another post all about investing in your home - it is your future after all.
If you can afford to, spending money on your home can make a huge difference in the long run depending on the location and the size of property.
It doesn't matter whether you're planning to live in your home for years, renting the property or looking to sell it on for a profit.
Refurbishing
When buying a house, it's more than likely going to need some refurbishment to make it up to your standards but rather than give each room a coat of paint - look into bigger jobs too and consider adding a luxury touch to your home.
Old buildings have so much character but they also have outdated plumbing and wiring - is this an area which you should look into for the long run?
Before you move into a home, consider different aspects and see what you should actually spend your money on rather than the superficial things, as much fun as it might be, to save you hassle and money in the long run.
Fixing these problems early will also be a great investment for making a profit when you want to sell on.
Extensions & Conversions
Every home as the opportunity to become more than it already is. You can convert rooms into something new or extend the building to create a larger home altogether - think about converting the loft space into a spare bedroom, office or a walk-in wardrobe which will all help to raise the price of the property and give you additional storage space plus it gives your home that touch of luxury which isn't found everywhere.
The same goes for a conservatory - they're great additions to your home and give you that extra space to enjoy summer evenings, when we have them - just make sure everything complies to planning permissions from the government and you're good to go.
Building
Perhaps you want to do something completely unique and build your own home - starting with an old house or even a bare plot of land.
This is where you can add your own unique touch and go for a beautiful luxury style but one thing you'll need to do is make sure you use a reputable property management company to help keep everything in line.
One thing is for sure - if you can afford to spend on your home, you can really give it that luxury vibe you've always wanted.
You know that we always love reading your comments so let us know what you think.
Have you recently refurbished your home? If so, did you go for a luxury feel or a more country/cosy feel?
