Summer is here, maybe not today with the rain, but in this post we’re providing the sunshine as we take a look at the best places to visit – Folegandros and Sifnos.
Voted as the best places to visit this summer by Conde Nast, I’m sharing more details about the islands and why you need to add these to your summer destinations.
FOLEGANDROS: Folegandros and Sifnos – The Best Places To Visit
Starting things off with Folegandros Island – it’s not an island that you hear much about compared to other Greek islands but it’s just as beautiful.
Folegandros is a small island (eight miles long and three miles wide) in the Aegean Sea and forms the southern part of Cyclades.
Cyclades are a group of islands which include some of the most well-known Greek islands, for example – Naxos, Andros, Paros, Tinos, Santorini and Mykonos to name a few.
A lovely quiet getaway with views of the sea to enjoy – just take a look at these photos below.
Even though it’s not one of the most-talked about islands, Folegandros has beauty and charm. A beautiful place to visit, relax and explore.
SIFNOS: Folegandros and Sifnos – The Best Places To Visit
Next up, we have Sifnos Island – another Greek island in the Cyclades group and that bit more popular amongst tourists.
Known for it’s sandy beaches and beautiful scenery, this is a lovely island to visit and getaway from the daily stresses of life.
Sifnos is an island that stands out amongst the rest, it’s regarded as one of the most authentic islands in the Cyclades group.
Mountainous yet with beautiful blue seas and sandy beaches – just take a look at the photos below.
If you visit Sifnos, make sure you check out the traditional pottery – there’s plenty of workshops around and you can take away souvenirs, gifts or items for your home.
