The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur *
I was kindly sent the all-in-one Instablur from The Body Shop a couple of weeks ago however I’m only just getting round to writing my review as I’ve been unwell and in hospital.
However this is actually the perfect time to be featuring this product and below you’ll see why!
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – Packaging
True to The Body Shop, the packaging is extremely neat, clean and quite simplistic and ever-so-similar to their BB cream which is my favourite BB cream to use.
I love that it’s in a tube which makes it a lot more hygienic than dipping your fingers into creams, lotions and potions – plus things don’t get messy! 🙂
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – Texture
This has a really unique texture and look! It’s unlike anything I’ve used before and it reminds me (only slightly) of the Maybelline Pore Smoother and Eraser Primer.
It’s so silky and easy to blend on the skin but as you can see in the pictures, when it comes out of the tube it’s quite thick compared to ‘normal’ primers.
On 2 occasions this has been a slight problem, when I apply the product on the back of my hand it just rolled off so I would have to apply more, this happened when taking pictures too!
What I recommend it applying it onto your finger and quickly applying to skin or onto your brush applicator and smoothing onto skin.
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – Application
This follows up quite nicely from the texture!
When applied onto skin this blends seamlessly onto your skin for an instant pick-me-up. It smooths your skin and gives your skin a lovely slightly matte look for the rest of your makeup.
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – Lasting Power
This lasts all day for me, I apply it in the morning and it does help to keep my make-up in place and looking great all day. My make-up looks slightly smoother but I can’t really comment on wrinkles as I don’t have many – yet! 😉
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – How to Use
OK, so this is the way I apply this product but feel free to play around and see what works best for you.
I apply the instablur after my normal primer and before applying my make-up, there’s no waiting time either as it’s not a liquid…just apply and go! 🙂
I apply it onto my forehead, nose and cheeks as these are the main ares which I want to remain smooth and non-oily during the day.
The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur – Overall
I really like this product but it’s not a breakthrough product however at the same time I don’t think I can live without it.
It does everything I want, my skin looks nice and smooth, the product smells great and it helps to keep my make-up looking lovely all day too.
If you’re looking for a super-smoothing, airbrush my face product then this isn’t it and to be honest I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much….I still want to look like me!
Would I recommend this to your lovely friends and readers?? Yes I would, it’s a product I think you’ll enjoy using especially in the warmer weather too – it’ll give your skin a nice smooth look!
You can click HERE to view the product on The Body Shop and purchase it online too for £14!
So, let me know what you think!
Have you tried this product? If so what are your thoughts!

i’ve been toying with wanting this, how does it compare to smash box photo finish?
I wouldn’t say that this works as a primer alone….I always use a primer underneath it and then apply this over the top just to make skin look smooth…..texture wise they’re completely different, this has a thicker consistency whereas the smash box photo finish primer feels like a primer and has a silky-ness to it which is beautiful.
Overall I would say if you want something to smooth and work as a primer go for smash box, if you want something just for smoothing the appearance of skin go for this…. hope that helps 🙂 xxx

Its a lovely product and I do recommend it although it’s not a wow product! Primers are lovely to use before applying makeup as they help your makeup look better for longer and protects your skin too! 🙂 xxx
I was searching for something like this! Thx!
Thanks!
I’m not much of a primer/smoother person so I’ll probably pass on this one but more importantly sorry to hear you were unwell and in hospital Layla and hope you feel better soon ! Xo
Aww thank you for your kind words!! I am a lot better now, just taking things easy and getting back to blogging! 🙂 xx
