NEW LAUNCH – Maxfactor Colour Elixir Gloss Nude Pomade
Maxfactor is a brand that I love and one of the first brands I bought from when I started getting into makeup.
My first purchase from Maxfactor was the Lipfinity lip tint and I remember being amazed by how long it lasted.
Since then Maxfactor have come a long way and are producing some fabulous products like the new launch of the (Limited Edition) Maxfactor Colour Elixir Gloss ‘Nude Pomade’. The collection is Caroline Barnes’ (Maxfactor Makeup Artist) first ever collection for Maxfactor and it looks beautiful.
The collection pays homage to the first ever ‘Lip Pomade’ which was used on actresses to create shiny lips on the silver screen in the 1920’s!
Caroline Barnes says: ‘Lipgloss is an integral and vital part of any make-up artists kit. Mr Max Factor created the first ever lip gloss for screen actresses in the 1920’s and called it Lip Pomade. I selected these nudes based on a beautiful romantic SS14 trend, makeup will be gorgeous, young, fresh and whimsical. It’s a nod to his Lip Pomade, but with a modern, nude twist’
The colours look beautiful and exactly how Caroline has described them, beautiful, romantic and perfect for Spring and Summer. They can be worn by everyone and compliment all looks from a simple eyeliner flick to a smoky eye.
Colour Elixir ‘Nude Pomade’ Shades
Lustrous Sand – This gloss compliments warm skin toners and will go perfectly with a tan. Wear with a soft brow, rose gold on eyes and Lustrous Sand Gloss will create caramelised Lips.
Radiant Rose – This shade conveys an expensive lip – with accents of champagne it’s the most subtle gloss within the collection. It will have an incredible lip shaping appearance with it’s gold flecks and will suit all skin tones.
Pristine Nude – This is an ultimate nude lip colour and it should be part of every woman’s makeup bag. Suiting all skin tones, it’s a makeup staple. it will perk up your look and create a natural, healthy look when you’re feeling lacklustre.
Glowing Peach – A supreme summer shade – peach continues to be a trend for SS14. The perfect holiday gloss it will enhance and flatter suntans and look really fresh. Day or evening, it’s a staple for SS14 cosmetic wardrobe!
Maxfactor’s Super Shine technology
Maxfactor’s breakthrough is the balance between feel and shine, creating a gloss that is super reflective but also silky, weightless and moisturiser. A unique formula which uses skin conditioning agents like mineral oil to combat the sticky feel which in turns results in a luxurious feel on the lips.
The ‘Nude Pomade’ collection launches in Boots stores from today the 19th February 2014 and is priced at £7.99 each.
The full range of the colour elixir gloss will be launching in July 2014 – more news on that soon! 🙂
Let me know what you think of the colours and range!
