Runway News: Héctor Bellerín Walks The Louis Vuitton Catwalk

Héctor Bellerín swapped the football pitch for the catwalk, earlier today, as he walked at Virgil Abloh‘s Louis Vuitton catwalk show in Paris. For those of you who may not know, Héctor Bellerín is an Arsenal football player and Spain defender.

Speaking to Vogue after the show, Héctor Bellerín said: “I’d been asked before (to walk the show) but I didn’t think it was the right time and when I got the news that Virgil (Abloh) wanted me to walk for his Louis Vuitton show, it was a no brainer.”

Going back to the catwalk show itself, you’ll be able to see plenty of bold colours and floral prints/designs however there are also some questionable looks too… (See picture below).

Whilst I understand that fashion has no boundaries, I don’t see how people can gain inspiration from something like this as I can’t imagine anyone walking down the street with a kite or storage box attached to them….

However, I DO understand bold prints, florals and colour-clashing as you can see in the pictures below. This is a great example of looks being unisex as even though this was a menswear show – I can imagine plenty of women taking inspiration from the colours and prints.

For example, I’d wear any of the two sweater jackets below with a pair of bootcut jeans or 3/4 jeans and teaming things up with a pair of heels. Keeping the rest of the outfit simple and the focus on the statement colours.
