Gosh Foundation Primer Classic

Gosh Foundation Primer Classic – £7.99
I love primers and they’ve been around for quite some time now, every brand has brought out their own version or expanding what they already have for different skin types and to achieve different looks.
What do primers do?
A lot of people I know have said that they tend to skip primers as they don’t see a point in them, can’t be bothered to use or find the pointless but they really do serve a purpose.
When applied to skin a primer will create a very thin ‘barrier‘ between skin and make-up giving you smoother looking skin.
You may also find that you use less make-up as your make-up won’t sink into the skin and can be blended a lot easier.
How/when do you apply a primer?
I feel it’s best to share what I do as it works for me but feel free to apply primer in your own way.
After cleansing, toning and moisturising my skin I’ll apply a very thin layer of primer all over my skin focusing on and around the eye area, nose and chin.
I then let it settle for a few minutes and then apply my make-up.
About the Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Classic
I don’t really know why it’s named as a ‘foundation primer‘ as it’s a normal primer but anyway, lets get started! 🙂
After looking in Superdrug I picked the ‘Classic‘ option as I hadn’t tried any of the other primers and liked the sound of the ‘matte finish’ as I like my makeup to have very little or no shine.
If I do want a ‘healthy‘ glow then I’ll re-create it with the use of my highlighter.
How does the Gosh Foundation Primer Classic feel on the skin?
I absolutely love the feeling of this primer on the skin, it’s feels very similar to Maybelline’s smoothing primer for anyone who has tried it and actually does feel like velvet!
As you apply it to skin it feels velvety soft and you can see it mattifying the skin.
A little goes a very long way and blends very, very easily!
How long does the Gosh Foundation Primer Classic last?
It’s a good primer and keeps skin looking matte and make-up looking lovely all day but I did find on a few occasions that I did see some shine around the nose area (the most typical place for shine) by the afternoon but to be fair I don’t expect miracles and think it’s fantastic value for money and will last me at least 3 months with daily use!
If you worry about any shine just take a little compact brush with some mineral foundation in your bag and apply when needed during the day.
What do I think of the Gosh Foundation Primer Classic Overall?
I am very pleased with the primer and will keep using it for sure, I’ll more than likely re-purchase it again as I think it’s really good value for money, keeps skin lovely and make-up in place too.(occasional shine)
As I mentioned above it’s really good value for money and will last me a long time so I do recommend it!
How much is the Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer?
I bought it from Superdrug for £7.99 and that’s for 10ml in an airless container which makes things a lot easier and better to apply and of course hygienic!
So, all you wonderful readers, let me know what you think!
Have you tried this?? If so let me know your thoughts!!

I’ve had this before but sadly had to stop using it as I discovered that it was this that was causing me to break out 🙁
Shame though as it did work quite well.
