We’ve got the fashion news covered and here, you can see the Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda 2019 Collection – Inspired by Ancient Greece.
As you’ll be able to see, the show took place in the evening just as the sun started to set, adding a beautiful atmosphere to the show.
125 models stepped out from behind the temples to walk down the catwalk, showcasing the Alta Moda Collection.
Wooden flooring was actually placed over a bed of sand as to not affect the structure.
Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda 2019 Collection – Inspiration
The whole collection has been inspired by Ancient Greece with flowing gowns and embroidery.
All very feminine and structured with an element of power to them.
Helene Christensen wore a black tulle gown that featured golden embroidery and said: “I thought of all the powerful women who had walked here thousands of years ago.”
Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda 2019 Collection – Location
The show took place in the Valley of the Temples – a Sicilian town of Agrigento.
Even though the show took place in Italy, the location was a place that one of many Greeks constructed.
Just look at the temple, it’s over 2100 years old and it’s absolutely astonishing!

As a treat, after the show, guests had the opportunity to walk through the temple and take photos as they made their way to the after-show dinner.
For the dinner, tables were set in an olive grove with views up the hill to the flood-lit temple – where the show took place.
A magical evening all inspired by Ancient Greece!
