Sometimes - all you need is a little break and in this post, we're talking about the benefits of getting away and making time for yourself.

It's Layla - I hope you're all well and having a wonderful week so far! Things have been really busy lately however - I'm back on track and keeping up with all the blog posts I have to write.... there's plenty more on the way!

Today's post is one which I think you're all going to enjoy as a lot of you seem to love the lifestyle / motivation posts which are featured on here.

What I love the most is reading all your beautiful comments - some of the emails which you send are really lovely and it's nice to see how one post can really benefit someone's mood and outlook in a time of need so for all those people who reach out and get in touch - thank you for your lovely messages! 🙂


Why It's Good To Get Away (And Make Time For Yourself)

One thing which I want to get across in my posts is that we should always, always, always make time for ourselves and our loved ones - not matter how busy we are.

It seems like we live in a world where we get stuck in a routine - doing the same thing day in and day out - that's not what life is about.

I've always said on here and to my family and friends that I'm extremely fortunate to be in a position where I can work in my own time. I might work A LOT of hours - yes, even into the night however it doesn't actually feel like work because it's something that I truly enjoy.

If you feel like you're stuck in a bit of routine, NOW is the time to make a little change.

Make Time For Yourself 

A lot of people will only think about getting away during the summer months however it's good to plan little trips away at different points during the year.

It's so beneficial to get away from everyday life - even if it's for a weekend getaway.

Once you're away, book yourself into a retreat - even if it's for a half an hour massage, you'll immediately feel uplifted, recharged and happier.

Remember - when you're positive, you'll attract more positive into your life so it really does matter when you take the time to look after yourself, your mind and your body.


The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose.


Life really is beautiful and it's a shame that we all get drawn into a routine.

From today, start making little changes in your life.

If you work from home, think about working one hour less and spending the time on looking after yourself whether it's a pamper evening at home, relaxing, watching TV or spending time with your loved ones.

If you're constantly working and feel like you're going from home to office and back again - think about booking your weekend getaway.

Everyone deserves a break and it's time to start taking the little steps towards your goal of getting away from the daily stresses of like and making more time for yourself.

Always be happy - Always stay positive!
