W7 In The Buff Palette *

W7 is a well known brand but only recently have I been paying more attention to the products coming from them. The latest beauty buzz in blogger land seems to be eyeshadow palettes and I think this could be a potential dupe of the much loved Urban decay Eyeshadow Palette!

W7 In The Buff Colours

The W7 eyeshadow palette contains 12 lovely colours, this palette is quite natural and has a variety of matte and shimmer shades.

Camel – Shimmer

Sand – Matte

Dust – Shimmer

Chocolate – Shimmer

Topaz – Matte

Earth – Shimmer

Storm – Shimmer

Silk – Shimmer

I love the colours in the palette as they’re so natural yet you can create some fantastic looks.

Matte colours are perfect as a ‘base colour’ especially cream/peach shades which are used all over the eyelid to brighten and neutralise the tone preparing it for your next colour.

Shimmer colours are wonderful for many reasons, taupe, cream and gold shimmer shades can also be used all over the eyelids to brighten and widen your eyes, the shimmer reflects the light and makes your eyes look sparkly. Dark shimmer shades tend to be used in the crease of the eye, outer corner and blended for a smoky effect.

The standout colour for me pigment wise has to be ‘Onyx‘ – the only black shade in the collection, it’s absolutely fantastic and you need such a little amount to define your eyes.

W7 In The Buff Brush

In the eyeshadow palette you also get a handy brush which is good when you’re on the go, one side is flat, I’d use this for matte shades and the other side is suited for blending your darker shades in the crease of the eye.

It’s handy to have but I do prefer my own brushes so haven’t used it but I do think it’s good for people on the go!

Overall Thoughts

I’m really impressed with this palette, I think the shades are beautiful and I’ve created some lovely looks using the colours which will be featured in posts coming soon.

If you’re a lover of all things beauty then you’ll definitely want to add this to your collection of makeup as it’s a palette that suits all skin tones and can be used to create lovely looks.

This is a wonderful dupe of the much-loved Urban Decay palettes as you can create some lovely looks and the colours are beautiful however if you’re looking at the quality only then it’s more than likely that the Urban Decay palettes will be better but for the price of the W7 palette you can’t really go wrong!
