Summer Trends People Are Already Wearing!
For those of us here in the UK, it’s safe to say that we’ve been dreaming of summer weather, especially following all the storms that we’ve been having – some of us even saw Snow in the North of the UK!
We all can’t wait for beautiful sunshine, longer days and warm summer evenings and we’re looking ahead at the summer trends which are already being worn! That’s right, during Fashion Week, we’ve been seeing a lot of fashionistas wearing 2020 summer trends and we love them!
From beautiful neon clothing to flowing wide-leg trousers, straw handbags and hair accessories, there’s something for everyone and it seems like a lot of trends from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s are making their way back.
Flowing Clothing – Wide Leg Trousers & Long Length Skirts
A trend that won’t be going anywhere – anytime soon! Like I mentioned above, the trends from the 70’s are making a comeback and high-waisted, wide-leg trousers and flowing long-length skirts are making are huge comeback – with people already wearing the trend!
All you need is a pair of high heels which will give you that boost, allowing the material to flow elegantly.
Think of high-waisted, wide-leg trousers teamed with a lovely shirt for an evening meeting, event or dinner and drinks with friends. Keep it simple and choose one colour or go for something bold and mix neon colours together.
Accessories such as bangles and clutch bags will also finish the look off – if you’re not one for carrying accessories, go bold with diamante embellished heels!
Neon Colours – Summer Trends
Who can resist beautiful neon colours? I personally love them and even though I prefer them in the summer months, they’re great to wear all-year-round.
Opt for neon coloured sweaters, as seen above, during Autumn and Winter and for Spring look at neon coloured suit co-ords with a white vest to balance the colour. Summer, opt for beautiful neon prints which look amazing.
Let’s not forget about neon accessories – think of hair accessories, scarves which can be used as headbands and jewellery.
Straw Handbags – Summer Trends
Many people said that straw bags wouldn’t be popular this year however – that’s not the case! A major trend last summer and a major trend throughout the year too.
Team your straw bag with beautiful summer dresses and wedge heels, it’s an effortless way to add a summer touch to your look. For Winter months, swap dresses for denim jeans, wedge heels and vest tops – add a summer bag to your look and you’re good to go!
At the end of the day, fashion is about having fun, experimenting and seeing what looks you like and what trends / style works for you.
