Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer Review

Revlon Photoready Primer

It’s been a while since I’ve done a review like this and I cannot tell you how much I have missed it!!!
I got this little beauty for my birthday as I my mum saw me trying it out when I was in Boots or Superdrug (I can’t remember) and I liked the results based on the back of my hand!
It made my skin appear smoother and softer and it’s very rare for me to like a product almost immediately in a store….it takes a lot to impress me!
My adorable mum went and bought it for me as a birthday gift and the first time I tried it I got the same results on my face as I did on the back of my hand….we were of to a good start!
I applied it to cleansed, toned and moisturised skin and it just smoothes and softens skin to make it ready for foundation.
I used my own mineral foundation and I loved how lightweight it felt on my skin….I have tried a lot of primers and they look good but once you apply them you can feel it clogging up your pores and making your skin look dull but not this!
What does primer do?
A lot of people may skip this step as they don’t think primer is necessary but in reality it is.
We apply our moisturiser which acts as a barrier for about 10 minutes before it sinks into the skin but a primer will act as a barrier against make-up without sinking into the skin…it very lightly sits on the surface of your skin protecting it from the make-up you’re about to apply! 🙂
It also helps your makeup to stay on all day without shine.
How do I apply primer?
It’s so simple!
After cleansing, toning and moisturising your skin apply it onto your skin like a moisturiser.
One / two pumps is all you need for your face/neck and that’s it you can apply your makeup!
The texture is really lovely and lightweight, it smoothes and softens my skin whilst keeping everything in place throughout the day.
You can purchase this from Boots & Superdrug for about £11.99 I think…I haven’t checked!
Have you tried this primer??
What do you think??
Let me know!

    • Hi Kirsty,

I do love this primer so it’s definitely something which you should check out.

As far as I’m aware when I got given this primer Revlon were STILL cruelty free BUT NOW they’re not which is a shame….so if you’re against using products that are not cruelty free then give this a miss!

    • Aww thank you hun! I love this primer as it does make my skin look smooth and my make-up stays in place all day long which is lovely but I find it works well with my mineral makeup range.

My mum bought me this for my birthday back in february and there is still about half of it left and thats with daily use!! If I’m not feeling up to wearing makeup this will just make my skin look smooth so it’s nice to wear alone too!!
