Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Foundation – NARS Dupe?

As we take a look at budget beauty buys, there’s always a brand I want to mention and it’s the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Foundation – both of which are fantastic, especially if you’re on a budget!

Maybelline Fit Me Range – Is This A NARS Dupe?

I have used both Maybelline and NARS products and written my personal opinion below on them below.

They BOTH have their benefits but it’s definitely worth a read.

I use 2 different shades depending on the time of year.

128 Warm Nude

220 Natural Beige

I choose colours that have a yellow undertone as I think they give my skin a healthy glow – I’m olive / tanned and feel these two options look great for my skin.

220 Natural Beige is the option I prefer out of the two, it’s a beautiful shade and my go-to but you’ll find both options in my beauty drawer.

This is a hydrating foundation and really looks lovely, it doesn’t make your skin look dry nor does it look patchy.

You can blend this using a foundation brush or beauty sponge and the more you blend, the nicer this will look on your skin as you ‘buff’ it onto your face and neck.

It’s a workable foundation and perfect for everyone as it’s easy to use. Suffer with dry skin? All you need to do is apply your favourite moisturiser or skin oil underneath.

If you’re looking for a matte foundation, this is NOT it.

It gives your skin a really beautiful semi-dewy glow. You can follow up with a matte face powder for a matte effect.

Comparison to NARS.

The NARS Radiant Foundation is slightly heavier in it’s coverage so a little amount goes a longer way and it does give your skin a beautiful, healthy glow.

If you’re not worried about your budget, give this a go and add the NARS foundation to your makeup collection.

Is it a necessity?

No – the Maybelline Radiant Foundation does a fantastic job so it would depend on you and your budget.

Maybelline Fit Me Radiant Creamy Concealer

I’ve mentioned this concealer before and it’s definitely up there on my budget beauty buys.

If you’re only going to buy one item for your makeup bag, definitely take a look at this concealer.

When I first used the NARS Creamy Concealer, I used the option of ‘Custard’ and at that time, it had sold out – everywhere!

I couldn’t find it so looked for an alternative and this is where the Maybelline concealer came to my collection.

Choosing the option of ‘Sandinitially, I now have the options of ‘Light‘, ‘Medium‘, ‘Sand‘ and ‘Caramel‘.

The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is really lovely, creamy and hydrating – it blends beautifully on the skin and looks really natural whilst hiding imperfections.

If you’re looking for a high-coverage concealer (to cover acne, for example), I wouldn’t recommend a liquid concealer like this – only a thicker / cream foundation and working quite precisely.

The Maybelline ERASER is also a fantastic concealer and another product in my makeup bag!

Why do you have so many options of concealer?

Instead of using a full face of foundation, you can work with just concealer and blending it onto your skin.

Over the past few years, I seem to be using my concealer and bronzer much more, opting for foundation when I’m attending events or going out for the evening.

Always choose yellow undertones and blend them well onto your skin, use a foundation brush or beauty sponge followed by a face powder to ‘set’ and keep everything in place.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer Comparison.

Would I recommend choosing the budget concealer option (Maybelline) or the higher-end option (NARS)?

I would recommend the Maybelline version and choosing different colours, this way you can really work with the options and make your skin look even more beautiful.

Use lighter options to ‘brighten’ and darker colours to ‘shade’ / ‘contour’ and ‘hide’ imperfections but always make sure you blend.

For acne and pimples, I wouldn’t recommend liquid concealers but more cream / thicker concealers to really conceal.

Shop around and have a look – there are some bargains on the high-street and some fab deals to take advantage of!
