Known for their beautiful, timeless and one-of-a-kind watches, traditional swiss watchmaker, Longines is now working with Kate Winslet more than ever for a new campaign and a re-design of one of their classic watches and in support of the Golden Hat Foundation.
What is the Golden Hat Foundation?
The Golden Hat Foundation is a non-profit organisation, co-founded by Kate Winslet in 2010 and since then, she’s been supporting and working with the charity closely.
Helping to support and guide those suffering from Autism, helping them to achieve their full potential and capabilities in life.
On 18th May, Hollywood Actress and Oscar-Winner, Kate Winslet visited Saint-Imier in Switzerland where the Longines head offices are located.
Meeting the team, the oscar-winning actress was then taken to the Longines Museum where the classic watches are kept and showcased.
Talking to staff and looking through the wide-selection, Kate Winslet was asked to choose a watch of her choice which will be re-developed and re-issued throughout 2016.
The watch which has been chosen will be ‘revamped’ during 2016 with all of the proceeds of the sales going to The Golden Hat Foundation in support of those suffering from Autism.
Kate Winslet has been an ambassador of Elegance and Longines for the past 6 years and both work together in balance with one another and compliment each other in the way that they work.
Supporting The Golden Hat Foundation and the people who help to run it, Kate Winslet has demonstrated that she has deeply held values for the charity, always pushing it further and allowing those who are suffering with Autism at another chance in making something of their life – not letting Autism hold them back or stopping them from achieving their full capabilities in life.
Longines has a tradition of supporting worthy causes an they are delighted to be associated with their ambassador and supporting the charity which she co-founded several years ago.
