Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns *
Thos of you who read this blog will know that I was kindly invited to attend a press event showcasing some of Elizabeth Arden’s upcoming products and perfect gift ideas for Christmas.
In this post I’m going to be writing about a stunning eye palette, the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns….you may have seen my ‘Easy Smokey Eye Video Tutorial‘ where I used this palette to create the look 🙂
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns – Packaging
Ok, this is so pretty and actually perfect for Christmas! Gold isn’t a colour I’m that fond of as it can end up looking a little bit tacky but that’s not the case here…it’s a beautiful, creamy gold and looks like a ‘high-end‘ product.
The same colour is on the actual product lid itself and you can actually feel the little ‘lines‘ so it’s not smooth to touch but all in all a beautiful presented product! 🙂
Inside you have a mirror meaning you can create the easy smokey eye look on the go, you have a little brush to give you a hand with applying the product and defining your eyes and a little diagram of which product to use and where – all really cute touches!
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns – Colours
The colours are all absolutely gorgeous, creamy, flattering tones which will look great on ALL skin tones!
Sometimes with palettes there may be colours you don’t like but that’s not the case here – they’re all equally beautiful and can be used in their own way to create lovely looks.
– Cream / Gold – This is such a lovely colour and I use this as a base colour, on the arch of the brow to ‘catch the light‘ and inner corners of the eye to ‘brighten‘ an all-rounder!
– Peach – Another beautiful colour, I tend to use this very lightly over the cream/gold shade to and in the crease to ‘warm‘ the eyes when going for a very simple look.
– Beige / Taupe – This is another colour which I love using lightly sweeping it across the eye to ‘brighten’ and this is normally my go-to colour when using one colour and eyeliner as it’s super-flattering.
– Brown – This is such a gorgeous brown, it’s almost chocolatey and really adds depth and warmth to your eyes, I use this on the crease and outer corner of the eyes to define and give them a subtle smokey look as seen in my ‘Easy Smokey Eye Video Tutorial‘
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns – Texture
When it comes to the texture of powders you can really feel the difference between high-street and high-end brands although I do want to point out that high-street brands are catching up and very fast!
The texture of these even though they’re a powder are extremely creamy and sort of ‘melt’ on the skin to blend beautifully, quickly and effortlessly meaning you makeup will look great quickly! Haha! 🙂
I love powders that apply to skin really smoothly giving you a gorgeous look!
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad – Chic Browns – Overall
I really do recommend this beautiful palette, if you’re a lover of the smokey eye look, if you want to have all your ‘essential’ colours in one place or even if you want to give this as a gift for Christmas it’s definitely a lovely item to go for!
The packaging is super-cute and has a luxury touch about it plus all the colours are extremely flattering! 🙂
