Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys

Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys

Oooh, what do we have here? It’s more lovely products from Boutique – yes, Boutique is Sainsburys own makeup brand and it’s nothing like what you think!

Remember all those years ago when supermarket beauty brands were a little….. tacky? That’s not the case anymore as we’re seeing a lot of thought and development going into supermarket (and affordable) beauty brands.

Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys – Packaging

The packaging for these eyeshadows is very simple – perhaps too simple, the only thing that makes them look pretty is the font writing for ‘Boutique’ other than that, they’re very bland and it’s not something that would catch my eye in-store.

However on a different note, they don’t feel plasticky – they feel rather sturdy and not plasticky or cheap.

What I like about them is the fact that if you have a few colours from the range, you can line them all up to look nice and neat in your makeup drawers / vanity table compared to circular products which tends to be a bit more difficult haha…

Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys – Colour

As you can see in the photos, I’ve been sent two lovely colours.

One is a shimmer, copper tone and the other is a subtle shimmer grey – gunmetal grey, I’d say.

Both of these colours suit all skin tones and look lovely plus they work together for a lovely smokey eye – using the grey on the outer corner to define and the copper tone on the inner corner to brighten the look, thanks to the shimmer!

The copper tone is perfect for the summer days too – it looks lovely when worn alone all over the eyelid and will definitely compliment a tan plus it’ll brighten your eyes after one too many summer-parties! 😉

Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys – Lasting Power

I’ve worn both these shades, alone and together for a lovely smokey eye and am very impressed with how these last.

Just like any other high-end brand!

They’re pigmented and a little goes a long way – once applied, it doesn’t really budge – still looking lovely at the end of the day! 🙂

Boutique Eyeshadow Sainsburys – How Does The Powder Feel?

I know, it’s weird to talk (or write) about how a powder feels but when eyeshadows are from an affordable brand, more often than not – the powders feel quite chalky and don’t blend as easily.

That’s not the case with these Boutique Eyeshadow’s – they’re actually really lovely to use, they apply like a powder/cream seamlessly blending with skin and last all day.

Really lovely.

I didn’t know sainsburys had their own beauty range – agree with you on the packaging it wouldn’t catch my eye which is maybe why I didn’t know about them but the product itself looks really good I’m loving the shades you have x

I know!! It’s little things that count and they are lovely and really pigmented but yes, packaging not the best point. It’s good to look at affordable options too, there are some gems out there`! 🙂 xxx

I like reading reviews for products that don’t have much coverage on other blogs (or maybe you’re the first I read it on). I think it’s good to know what supermarkets are up to and that their beauty products might be well worth trying.
