Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm

I love trying beauty products and then writing my review on here…it’s one of the things I enjoy along with my fashion posts and some of you may or may not know that I have been sent some gorgeous goodies from Balance me and in this post I’ll be sharing my thoughts about the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm!

What’s the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm?

We all know about cleansing balms, they’re everywhere and everyone is trying to bring out the best one to the market and although I love beauty products, I have to admit this is the first face balm I’ve tried!

The Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm has had lots of wonderful reviews and since I got the chance to try some of their products I was super-excited to try this!

What’s the texture of the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm?

I’m going to write things as simply as I can and the best way to describe this would be an oil-based cleanser/exfolioator.

As you can see in the picture it’s a creamy oil and you can just see little exfoliators which are wonderful at buffing your skin and removing dead skin cells which leave your skin looking dull!

What does the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm smell like?

It’s an unusual smell, it’s not fresh, it’s more of a deep, luxurious blend of flowers and spice….it reminds me of Christmas when I smell this and I think it suits the product really well.

How do you apply the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm?

It’s not hard at all, you apply it just like a cleanser!

Apply a little amount to the palm of your hands and warm it up before applying to your face and neck.

Gently massage it onto the skin in circles to buff away dead skin cells and give your skin a boost, then using your muslin cloth (damp) remove the product from your face and rinse with water.

If you’re like me and can still feel the product on your skin follow up with your cleanser.

Is it a good cleanser?

I really enjoy using this product and found that it just melts make-up off the skin however any oil-based product will remove make-up easily and quickly BUT I did have to use my normal cleanser after to give my skin that ‘squeaky-clean’ feeling as I could still feel the oil on my skin.

If you have dry skin I think this will be a perfect product for you as the oil will just get soaked up by your skin and leave it feeling lovely.

What didn’t you like about the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm?

There are only 2 things I didn’t like about this.

The cap:  This type of cap is wonderful for shampoos, conditioners and cleanser, just not oil-based cleansers as it deep come through once opened and I kept it in the box.

– As mentioned above I didn’t like how I could still feel the oil on my skin after removing it, I had to cleanse my skin with my own cleanser after using this to stop my skin feeling clogged however it was very smooth and did give my skin a healthy glow.

The winter months are ahead of us so I know I’ll be needing more hydration for my skin so if you’re like me and prefer skin to feel fresh after cleansing then use it like me and use it as a pamper treatment following it up with a cleanser.

Can I buy this online?

Of course!

Click CLEANSING FACE BALM to go to the product page directly or BALANCE ME to visit their homepage!

Would I recommend this to my family, friends and readers?

Yes I would recommend this to my friends, family and readers.

I may not use it everyday but I will be using once a week or every 2 weeks as a pamper treatment especially in the winter when my skin will need more moisture, I love how my skin felt smooth and had a lovely glow too.

People who suffer with dry, dull skin then please check this out as you’ll love it, your skin will soak up the moisture and be left smooth and hydrated.

As I always mention in posts this is based on my personal opinion after using the product, what works for me may not work for you and what works for you may not work for me so take all opinions with a pinch of salt and try the products for yourselves too….you may be surprised! 🙂

So, lovely readers…I know a few of you have tried this so please share your thoughts!!!

Oh I’ve heard so many good things about this but no-one has mentioned the oily feeling before – thanks for the review! I really want to try it, it sounds so lovely, and I’m following all my cleansers with a Korres cleansing gel at the moment anyway as it’s doing an amazing job of keeping oil under control 🙂

Ooooh! The Korres cleansing gel sounds nice!! I know….it’s a lovely product but I did have to follow up to stop that clogging/oily feeling on my skin after use but I would recommend it as a treatment every week or every other week just to give skin a boost!! 🙂

I really love balms and oils for removing make up and giving a thorough cleanse, I often follow them up with a cream cleanser too despite my skin being on the drier side. x

I’ve recently started using this, it was a little too much for my skin over the summer, like you I could still feel it on my skin. Now it’s started getting colder my skin is loving it! Great review sweet! xo

      Hi Jennie,

Aww thank you so much for your comment! I agree with you…over the summer it did leave my skin feeling oilier and clogged which is why I think of the winter I’ll use it as a treatment and my skin will (hopefully) like this product more! 🙂
