Summer Beauty: Products To Keep Your Summer Glow

If you're back from your holidays, there's no reason why you shouldn't keep your summer glow for that little bit longer! In this post, I'm sharing some summer beauty products which you might like to add to your beauty collection too...
(Note - Before people say that this is a sponsored post, it's not. The reason I'm featuring Rimmel in this article is because I had quite a few of their products in my 'beauty reviewing cabinet' and over the past few weeks have been using the items. I really like how they work together so I decided to put this post together for you too 🙂 )
Summer Beauty
All you gorgeous readers, just because you're back from holiday, it doesn't mean that you should lose your summer glow / tan quickly.
In fact, with all the beauty products out there, there's plenty of ways to make your summer glow last so much longer and in this post, I'm sharing a few of my tips and products that I've been using too.
Moisturise
Before you do anything, always make sure that you keep your skin moisturised!
This is something which benefits your skin all-year-round however, if you're like me then consider switching your moisturisers / body lotions to suit the seasons.
Personally, in the summer I use a lightweight, oil-free (cooling) moisturiser and body lotion.
Check out the Kiehls Ultra Facial Lotion and this Kiehls Aloe Vera Body Lotion.
In the winter, I opt for a much more nourishing, luxurious moisturiser and body lotion to make sure skin is super-soft and smooth!
Summer Beauty: Makeup
When it comes to your makeup products, it's essential to use products which will bronze, highlight and warm your skin as this will keep your summer glow around for much longer.
If you're a person that wants an all-in-one bronzer, look at something like the Rimmel Radiance Brick which offers a variety of shades and highlighter to be used all over your face - including on your eyes.
If you want different bronzers, I recommend looking at the Benefit Hoola Bronzer which mattifies and bronzes along with this Too Faced Unicorn Tears Bronzer which has a touch of shimmer too!
Summer Beauty: Body
This is the main thing for everyone, how to maintain that beautiful summer glow on our body too. We relax on the beach, enjoy walks in the summer sunshine and we earn a lovely glow.... this is what you need to do to make sure your summer glow sticks around for longer.
As we mentioned above, moisturising is key but did you think about this?
Exfoliate
Yep - exfoliating and moisturising are best friends and this is something which you should incorporate into your skincare and beauty routine at least once a week.
Exfoliating removes impurities, dry skin and helps your skin prepare for other products, allowing it to absorb moisturiser much better. By looking after your skin, your summer glow / tan will stay around for much longer.
Healthy skin = healthy tan / glow.
Wash Off Tan
The Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan is great for everyone - whether you have a tan or not.
This is a wash-off product which can be applied in the morning after a shower, just like a body lotion. Let it dry for a few minutes and you're good to go with sun-kissed (matte) skin.
So, you can add a bit of colour to your skin if you're not tanned and also maintain your glow if you are tanned.

I really need to do better when it comes to exfoliating my body, I have so many great body scrubs but I always forget to use them!

Summer glow gives so much beauty to the skin. I always try to exfoliate and moisturize. I don’t use tans but a summer glow is always welcome. I loved the look of the Rimmel Radiance Brick. Its really pretty. Love all your pictures Layla. 🙂
