Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil *
I was kindly sent some product a few weeks ago and one of them was the lovely Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil.
Before receiving the item I’d heard so much about Revitalash (good) however I’d never got the chance to purchasing anything so I was very happy when I received this!
Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil – Packaging
I really like the packaging of the revitalash spotlight highlighting pencil, it comes in a little box with details listed all around.
The main that caught my eye and what I have pictured above (last picture) is that a portion of all proceeds goes to the breast cancer research initiatives. I love seeing a brand help and support charities and other companies like this.
Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil – Colour
As we can all tell by the name this is a highlighting product.
Many people run away from highlighting products but I love them and feel that everyone can benefit by using highlighter correctly – I’m going to be writing a post about how to use highlighter so if you have any questions tweet me.
Highlighters come in many varieties but the Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil is a lovely gold colour which suits all skin tones.
As you can see in the unblended swatch, there’s a subtle shimmer running through it and when it’s blended looks really natural and catches the light beautifully.
I used this on the arch of my brow (brightens eye area), inner corner of the eyes (makes your eyes sparkle), cupids bow (defines lips) and it can be used along the cheekbone too.
Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil – Texture
It looks like a solid pencil however when you start applying it to your skin, the heat from your body melts the product ever so slightly and it becomes more balmy allowing you to blend the highlighter onto skin where needed.
The texture feels silky on the skin but I did find that you have to blend relatively quickly as it dries FAST! It’s not like a liquid highlighter which can be dotted on the skin and then blended.
Revitalash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil – Overall Thoughts
Would I recommend this to family and friends? This is what I think when I write my reviews.
If you’re a beauty lover that loves beauty products in general or a make-up artist then yes I would recommend this to you – it’s a nice product to have in your kit and it suits all skin tones.
If you’re a beginner to make-up then no I wouldn’t recommend this to you, you have to blend quickly before the product dries and I there’s plenty of other highlighters on the market which look great and are better suited for beginners.

Awwww Kelly!!! Of course I can write a post about it!!! I’ll get it online soon 🙂 xxx
I really like highlighters as I love using them on eyes and cheekbones so this is a potential one to add to my makeup collection. does it click or twist? Suzy x
Hi Suzy, I love highlighters too…they can be used in so many ways and can really bring ‘light’ and ‘glow’ to the face! It’s definitely one to add to your collection as it looks lovely and suits all skin tones – just blend really quickly before it dries!!
It twists out but you can’t twist the product back in – I hope that makes sense! xxx
my favourite highlight is the benefit one have you tried it? What do you think of it? x
Hi Polly, I assume you’re talking about the Benefit High Beam?? Yes I have!! 🙂 It’s really nice and just gives a gorgeous, gorgeous glow to the skin! Even though it’s quite pinky it blends beautifully….probably one of my favourite highlighters! 🙂 xx
this has been on my list for a while but its dissappointing that it’s nt like a liquid highlither…
Hi Bains, no it’s not like a liquid highlighter at all..it’s a pencil which you apply just like an eyeliner really but you do have to blend quickly so it’s a natural ‘glow’ – it’s lovely but it’s not a liquid highlighter I’m afraid 🙁 xx
I love your blog and because I think you’re so inspiring I have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award-http://ellaboland.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award.html
Thank you!!! 🙂 xxx
