MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review *
Hello to all you gorgeous readers, I hope you’re all well and looking forward to the weekend!
In this post I’ll be writing about a brand which is new to me – MitoQ and I’ll be writing about the MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum.
This is in the ‘more expensive’ skincare products I’ve featured on here so let’s get going with the review 🙂
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – Packaging
As you can see from the pictures above this comes packaged in a really lovely box, I always feel it’s nicer to see skincare presented in such a way as you get that feeling of ‘luxury‘.
The colours are extremely chic and quite understated but all at the same time really lovely.
Once you open the box and as I’ve tried to show in the pictures above it’s in a ‘double-layered‘ box which just provides that extra security and acts like a protective bubble to make sure the item is safe – little touches like these I love 🙂
Taking the bottle out of the packaging and you’re greeted with a contrasting dark bottle, again it’s very simplistic but it does have a luxury look which would look great on any vanity table amongst all other beauty products.
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – Applicator
I always look at the applicators for some weird reason, this has a silver pump applicator which again is really lovely and just makes it look like a high-end product.
I would like to mention here though that although it looks good it feels really, really cheap – lightweight and quite flimsy which is a let down. I would have preferred the applicator to be of better quality as you expect good quality on higher priced products.
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – Texture
The texture of this isn’t really like a serum – in my mind a serum has a silky/silicone feel to it however this feels like an extremely lightweight cream.
It leaves no residue/grease and is absorbed by skin in minutes leaving it feeling soft and smooth.
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – Scent
The MitoQ Power Antioxidant ‘Serum’ has a very fresh scent which is lovely but in my beauty obsessed mind serums normally don’t have fragrances so it’s going against everything what a serum should be – not in a bad way either.
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – How To Use
In the evening after cleansing and toning my skin I’ll apply 2 pumps of this on my face and neck – once absorbed fully I then apply my night cream.
Now I know many of you will be sat there thinking I’ve done it the wrong way round however I always say that a night cream acts like a barrier and locks in products you use before so to me it makes sense to use it in that way – my skin feels better too 🙂
MitoQ Power Antioxidant Rejuvenation Serum Review – Overall
OK, I thought this serum would be a lot better considering it’s £79 and sadly I cannot sit here and say it’s done amazing things to my skin – it hasn’t.
Considering how it’s described I would have liked to have seen more natural ingredients in this serum but it contains ingredients that most people can’t even pronounce (Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate,Dicapryl Carbonate, Glycerin, Mitoquinol Mesylate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol) BUT I do think the concept behind the brand is great and I do think that with a few tweaks here and there this could be a wonder product.
I love that it’s lightweight and unlike any other serum and if you’re looking for a product that will give skin a boost then yes go for it but if you’re on a budget there are other products out there.
MitoQ – if you’re reading this then you can make this a wonderful product with few little changes here and there….some natural ingredients and better applicator/pump would have been better!
