Makeup Revolution: The ONE Fluid Blusher – Malibu Ocean *

Makeup Revolution has been and I think will continue to be one of the most talked about, written about and reviewed beauty brands this year.

Makeup Revolution: The ONE Fluid Blusher – Malibu Ocean – Packaging

For me, makeup revolution is a brand that pays attention to their packaging, they’re not boring as most colours and products are all colour co-ordinated!

Take the fluid blusher, the colour of the product itself is shown on the upper part of the packaging and this is the same for a lot of their products.

I love that it comes packaged in a little box, this makes it handy when it comes to storage – I’m a little bit of a neat freak and I like having everything in brand, colour and size order and tend to keep the packaging for my make-up, skincare and perfume…..told you I was a beauty geek! 🙂

Inside, the fluid or let’s call it liquid blusher comes in a little bottle which I’ve only seen airbrush makeup come in – a lovely touch which is unique for me.

Makeup Revolution: The ONE Fluid Blusher – Malibu Ocean – Colour

Malibu Ocean is a delicate coral bronze…..or to describe it better a bronze with a coral undertone!

It’s got a very subtle shimmer in it and I would say this can be used on cheekbones to add a lovely, healthy glow to your face.

Uses

Now I know that this is a fluid/liquid blush BUT it’s always great to think outside the box and see how you can use beauty products in other ways (my inner makeup artist) there’s nothing better than using a product for a number of things and it seems that you all love the idea of multi-use products too! 🙂

Tinted Moisturiser: Due to it’s lovely colour I would say 2-3 drops of this mixed into your day moisturiser (before makeup) will give skin a really lovely, tanned glow.

Eye Base: Use this on the crease to add definition to the eye area or use it all over for a base colour, perfect for the “no makeup” look!

Cheekbones: I would NOT use this to contour as it’s not dark enough, I like using this on my cheekbones just to add a little bit of definition and a healthy glow to skin with a touch of blush it’s perfect! 🙂

Makeup Revolution: The ONE Fluid Blusher – Malibu Ocean – Overall

I really like this product, it’s a wonderful addition to your beauty products and I love that it can be used in a number of ways too.

Would I say that this is an ‘essential’ for everyone – no, it’s not something that everyone will use BUT it’s something which I think A LOT of people will LOVE whether it’s used on the cheekbones, eyes or even as a tinted moisturiser!

It’s an oil-free, silicone based product which just glides onto the skin so smooth and looks really silky.

As seen in the swatches it’s a really natural colour, the bottom swatch is with 2 drops and the top swatch is just 1 drop – not much difference but the colour can be built for a desired look!

Then again it’s just so affordable – why not treat yourself to something new! 😉

I love the look of this, I haven’t tried it before and didn’t know they sold it- I tried the blush sticks but because my skin gets oily it doesn’t work very well, I adore the colour xxx

It is really lovely, the blush sticks – which one did you use…the matte version or the cream version? Seeing as you have oily skin have you tried using a fixing powder before applying makeup?? This helps control the oil during the day… xxx

I was a little apprehensive about those liquid blushes and highlighters, it took me a while to try one out for myself and I haven’t looked back since. I haven’t ventured far from the pond though and stuck to NARS but I really should try expand on this, especially on something a little on the cheaper side too! ;op

make up revolution are such a good brand and have come out of no where! I persuaded my friend to buy the massive eyeshadow pallete due to the tiny price tag and she’s so glad she bought it now as she nearly, almost hesitated buying it at the till aha 🙂 x x

Even though it’s a coral/bronze shade, it can be lovely for winter months too, because there’s a hint of pink but with brown undertones! Great ideas for multi-using this product!!! Could it be used as a lip product too, or it would be drying? 🙂

Oooh I haven’t even thought about it for a lip product but I’m not too sure how well or long it would last as it’s a silicone based product and feels really silky on skin….I think it might just come off with a cup of coffee :s xxxx
