Hair – John Frieda Original Serum

Hair – John Frieda Original Serum – 6 Effects *
I was kindly sent this John Frieda Original Serum you see pictured above, many of you know I really like John Frieda haircare products as they’re affordable and do provide you with results.
John Frieda Original Serum – Packaging
One thing I REALLY like is the packaging, it’s really cool, unique and stands out from other products.
There’s the packaging and then within that you can see the red tube containing the product – really funky!! 🙂
John Frieda Original Serum – Texture
This isn’t like other serums, this feels a lot “heavier” not as in weight but texture wise..it’s richer and you need little products as a little goes a long way.
I use this right after a shower before towel-drying and focus on the ends, I then tie it in a bun and leave it for 5-6 minutes before towel drying and combing.
I wouldn’t recommend putting this anywhere near the roots as it’s a “heavier” product you might find hair looks flat and/or greasy…not good – just focus on the ends of hair.
John Frieda Original Serum – After Styling
I only apply this to the ends of my hair but I can see a noticeable difference, hair looks and feels a lot smoother and shinier so it’s a thumbs up from me!! 🙂
John Frieda Original Serum – Purchase
You can click HERE where you can view the product on Boots!
Price – £6.29 – this will last a LONG time!! 🙂
John Frieda Original Serum – Overall
I really like this product, it does what it says but you do have to be careful so you don’t use too much product. As mentioned I ONLY apply this to the ends of my hair.
If you have fine hair or suffer with greasy hair then I wouldn’t recommend this for you…I don’t think you’ll like how your hair looks/feels and you won’t benefit BUT don’t worry – there are other options for you which you can view by clicking HERE! 🙂
If you’ve tried this I’d love to see what you think!

I would say for you to use a lighter version as this could weigh hair down more….it’s a lovely product though and does leave hair looking and feeling a lot smoother! 🙂 xx

i have seen this but never tried it thank you for your review. i suffer with really dry ends so it sounds like something for me 🙂
If you suffer with dry/damaged ends then buy it and use it ONLY on the ends..you’ll see a noticeable difference and it’ll feel a lot smoother too! 🙂 xxx

Thanks Polly!! 🙂 xx

Haha followed you on there too!! 🙂 I know – many people are hesitant to using serums for the “oily” factor but when used right you won’t have a problem. I use this on soaking wet hair and only on the ends….then I towel dry and style as normal! 🙂
Give it a go – would love to see what you think of it! xxx
thanks for sharing the review of this product.

Nice review. I have an oily scalp but then my ends are extremely dry and damaged. This serum looks really good and I like the fact that it also protects from the heat.
Thank you so much for following me as well. It’s always nice to meet new bloggers and I do like your blog a lot!
Take care.

It’s a lovely product but seeing as you have an oily scalp I would say use it ONLY on the ends to avoid it getting oilier! Serum is a wonderful way to protect against heat damage too so if you curl/straighten your hair a little bit on the ends will be good too! 🙂 xxx
Sounds like a great product !
Nice review 🙂
