How to apply Nail Wraps – Using Kiss Nail Wraps *
I know so many people who are too scared to use nail wraps as they don’t know how to apply them, after I was kindly sent these Kiss Leopard Print Nail Wraps I thought it would be a good idea to do a little how-to post!
I’ll keep things really simple as this is the way I also apply my nail wraps…I’m no expert but it works! 🙂
( Please note – I used a nail colour wheel as it’s easier for me to take pictures and do the step-by-step guide. In the next few days I’ll apply the nail wraps and show you how they look on me too! Yay! )
How to apply Nail Wraps – What you need
I make sure to have the following items near me when applying my nail wraps to make things easier.
Nail Buffer – This is normally included with your nail wraps, it’s a lot smaller than a nail file as you can see in the pictures!
Nail File – Sometimes a buffer may not work as well so keep a nail file to hand.
Cuticle Cutter – I tend to cut the nail wraps to my nail length as they’re always too long. (The joy of having small hands haha!)
Tweezers – Sometimes they’re handy to use when applying the nail wraps to your nails.
Nail Wraps – Obviously 😉
How to Apply Nail Wraps – Step by Step Guide
So here goes! 🙂
Before you apply nail wraps or nail polish try and give your hands a little pampering treatment.
Soak in warm water with a couple drops of almond oil, file your nails to desired length, apply hand cream, push back cuticles – pretty nails need pretty hands!! 🙂
Step 1 – Look through the nail wraps and see which sizes are for your nails. My hands and nails are really small – petite, so I sometimes have to cut the nail wraps to my size.
Step 2 – Using tweezers, carefully apply the first nail wrap, starting from the cuticle will allow you to push out any air bubbles as you work your way from the cuticle to the end of the nail.
Step 3 – Once you’re happy with your nail wrap, cut off the end if it’s too long for your nail and go over it with the buffer which is included. Do this gently as you don’t want to drag the nail wrap and scuff the edges.
Step 4 – Repeat on all nails.
Done.
It really is as simple as that, nail wraps have been designed to be applied easily, if you can’t find nail wraps to fit your nails then just spend a little extra time cutting them to your size.
Just remember – practice makes perfect!
It’s always fun to try different things so always make sure you have fun otherwise there’s no point.
Wearing Nail Wraps in different ways
I know that a lot of people can find nail wrap designs overwhelming when worn on all nails.
IIf this is the case for you then I would suggest wearing one nail wrap design on your ring finger and painting the rest of your nails in a subtle colour like beige, nude or grey – by doing this you’ll get used to having some design on your nails but it won’t be overwhelming.
Just remember to have fun and experiment with different styles and colours!
Let me know what you think.
