Why you SHOULD use blush!

Blush is a product which I love using, I use it everyday on myself but I know SO many people who are scared of using it as they don’t want to end up looking like a clown.

What does blush do?

Blush is used by make-up artists to give skin a healthy glow, it instantly makes you look healthier and “brightens” your face.

It’s a product which works with your make-up all year round, bronzer in the winter and alone during the summer when tanned.

How to use blush.

I only apply blush to the apples of the cheeks – the apples are the plumpest part when you smile and this is where you would naturally “blush” and the look we want is to keep your blush looking as natural as possible.

Winter

In the winter months I use my blush with my bronzer and blend it together for a lovely, healthy glow.

Start by applying your bronzer along your cheekbones – this is from mid-cheekbone right up to the hairline where the top of your ear is in a diagonal way. A touch of highlighter along the top blended will brighten your face and just give you a more natural definition.

Then apply a touch of blush to the apples of your cheeks (plumpest part when you smile) and blend into your bronzer – this will brighten your face, give you a lovely rosy glow and make your look healthier instantly.

Summer

In the summer months I tend to keep my make-up minimal so I’ll only use my bronzer in the evening  or when attending events.

When tanned I don’t use foundation, I just use my moisturiser, some highlighter, blush and mascara.

A pop of colour on the apples of your cheeks when tanned not only makes you look more tanned but again it gives you a lovely healthy glow without doing too much!

My go-to blushers

As you can see in the picture there’s a variety of them that I like, my favourites seem to change quite often as sometimes I’ll fancy a blush with highlighter, other times matte…sometimes a cream blush and other times a power but below Ive listed a couple of my go-to’s 🙂
