I hope you’re all well and having a lovely week so far – what a shame about this weather that we’re having today!?
It’s gone from beautiful blue skies and sunshine to cold, cloudy and rainy – can summer hurry up please!? 🙂
In this post, I’m writing about something which I’ve never, ever, written about – Vintage Clothing!
I remember a few years ago when Vintage Clothing really took over the fashion scene – everyone wanted to wear unique pieces and then as usual, fashion brands started developing their own range of ‘vintage’ clothing with inspired designs and prints but, it’s never really the same.
This is where Rokit comes in to play.

Over the past three decades, Rokit has recycled over a million tonnes of discarded clothing and accessories to become the highly regarded regular haunt for style savvy Londoners with a worldwide – online audience!
Rokit been around since 1986 – starting with a stall in London’s most Iconic Camden Market and originally specialised in vintage denim which was thrifted from American cowboys – how cool is that!? 🙂
The demand was so high that within a few weeks of setting up and launching the stall – it was exchanged for a two storey shop on the high street and the Rokit Vintage Brand was born!
Now, the team of vintage experts are all based under one roof in the UK’s biggest vintage warehouse – hundreds of pieces are hand selected and sent daily to the four London stores with new additions to their website.
Every item is freshly laundered, pressed and carefully mended – where needed, to ensure everything is looking beautiful and kept in the best condition.
Any pieces which are unable to be used are transformed by the Rokit Recyle Crew who create customised pieces in the workshop to sell on in seasonal trend focused designs.

I used to dabble with vintage clothing but I tend to just shop online mostly nowadays at the general places like asos, purely for the ease of it and the fact that they have the same piece with lots of different cuts and sizes! I love the concept of vintage clothing though and when you find a vintage piece that you love and no one else has, that’s such a nice feeling.
