Hooray! The Sprinkles of Style team is back and this time, we're sharing our tips on how to sort your style for less.... no budget? No worries - we've got your covered!
For most of us, at some time of another, we've all been guilty of falling in love with an item of clothing, buying it and not trying it on in-store. Then, we end up getting home and realising it's too big, too small or simply - not flattering.
This tends to happen when shopping in the sales as more often than not, sale items can't be returned - they can either be exchanged for something else or you can get store vouchers to use. This is when people tend to put things to one side or give the item of clothing to friends.
BUT, we're sharing a few tips on how to avoid things like this in the future - allowing you to shop savvy and hopefully save!
Don't Buy Because It's Reduced
Who doesn't love a bargain!?
We all do but we need to stop buying things just because they're reduced and actually look at buying what we really need.
Never buy something just because it is reduced , if you need the item - great! However, this is where we need to resist that urge of shopping for things we don't need - this is why we all have so many clothes in our wardrobe which don't get worn as much.
If you think about it, shopping for what you really need will also leave your bank balance looking a lot healthier so you can treat yourself to other things. Save up for a spa day for example.
If you can't decide what you need for your wardrobe, have a little look through your clothing and make a list of the essentials you would like to have - whether it's timeless pieces or colourful, look and see what you'd like to wear more of so you know what you're looking for when shopping rather than just browsing.
Gain More Knowledge
Fashion isn't just about how pretty something is - there's a lot more to it than meets the eye so if you're a lover of shopping and fashion, take the time to learn about clothing.
Make a note and about who makes the best of each thing - it could be that one store sells the best underwear, the other the best nightwear and another selling the best coats and winter clothing.
By doing this, you'll not only have a variety of clothing in your wardrobe but you'll also step up on the quality of your clothing which will last you in the long run.
Online shopping is always a good option too, you can spot things online and check them out in store. For example asos.com and boohoo.com are just an example of online shopping websites.

Check Out Return Policies
Before buying anything, whether it's in-store or online, you should always check out the returns policy in case you ever have a problem.
When looking at the return policy, find out how the company deals with it and if it's an online store you've bought from - who pays the return postage? Is it you or them?
It's the little things like this which make a difference when it comes to shopping so make sure you check out the policies to avoid any problems should you want to return something.
Try Not To Fall For The Sales
We know, we all love a bargain but what you have to remember is fashion stores have been around for many, many years so there'll be plenty of sales happening throughout the year.
Try not to fall for every single sales marketing strategy and if you can, hold off towards the end of the sales when you can come across some real bargains to shop.
Stores know all the tricks of the trade and they will do their best to bring you in.
