Rimmel 25 hour lasting foundation…

Hello my lovely readers….. how are you all?
Well I’m actually tucked up in bed listening to music and thought to update my blog….it’s 00:52 here in the UK…… I really need to go to sleep!! ha!
Well today I went shopping and bought a new foundation…..Rimmel’s 25 hour lasting foundation.
At first I didn’t really think it would work but when I got home I applied it onto my skin and it immediatley looked dewy, gorgeous and glowing.
After 2 minutes of letting it sink in my skin looked airbrushed and without much having to be done.
After wearing it all day I have to say I am very happy with this and I think it’s my new go-to foundation for nights out or when I feel like wearing something throughout the day.
It doesn’t transfer onto clothes, I actually rubbed one of my favourite white shirts on my face to test it (not that clever if it had rubbed off onto it) and it didn’t come off then I wiped my face with a baby wipe…..again it did NOT budge……..in the end it came off with my Liz Earle make-up cleanser.
This is my new favourite product….I like Maxfactors foundation too but if you don’t want shine, just a healthy glow and you need a founation to last all day then this is the one to go for.
You can buy it from superdrug or boots for £6.99 and it comes in shades that will suit each skin tone.

  • I bought this yesterday, and start to use it with Everyday Mineral Flat top Brush, but it didn’t look so good, how do u wear it?

    • Hello!

Thank you for your comment! When I apply foundation I normally apply my moisturiser and let it absorb fully then I apply my foundation using my fingers as the heat from my hands blend the makeup into the skin!
If you don’t want to use your fingers you can use a foundation brush with a slight point or a stipple brush which blends makeup into skin!

I will do a post about make-up brushes in the next few weeks so make sure you check back for that!! 🙂

      I hope that helps xxx

  • Hello, thank you for your comment.

I would recommend using either Bobbi Brown which you can find in all the big stores such as Debenhams and John Lewis or using Iman cosmetics as the make-up is specially designed for coloured skin and you can find this in Fenwick, Beauty Base and Morleys.

As you have combination skin I would say avoid any foundation that is oil-based and use an oil-free moisturiser and primer before make-up to keep it in place and avoid the shine.

A good primer can be found from Mally beauty which can be purchased from QVC and this helps make-up look flawless and last all day!

Hope this helps….if you need anything else let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

Let me know how you get on!

  • Hey there! I have dark skin (African origin) and would love your advice on foundation for dark skin. Mac do a good range but their colours are not the same anymore. I have a combination skin and like something that have a nice mat finish as i get hot and have the “melted” look after few hours. I currently use Dream matt moose in caramel which works well but i wanted a change.Any suggestions.

  • Layla – This foundation is very good and have recently started using this on my friends and cients and they love the finish it gives their skin. The airbursh look you say.
I will continue to use this, even if I didnt use it i would after reading this.
