Hello to all you lovely readers!

It's the Sprinkles of Style team and we're back with a new post, this time sharing our tips on how to put the "I" into Interior Design - meaning, how to add a unique touch to your home without much effort.

Amongst a group as small as ten people, you'll almost always find an incredibly diverse set of skills when it comes to decor.

From practical to the beautiful - everyone has something that they're good at and this is often what translates into making your house a home  and of course making it unique to you and your style.

If you can't think of something that you can already do, you could consider trying the options which appeal to you the most - whether it's painting or making your own cushions and curtains.

Below, you can find some of the most creative ways to use your skills in improving your home.

Artwork & Photography

Artwork - Of course, in most cases, people will assume that the only way they can achieve this post's goal is through painting or other forms of artwork however - it's not the only option but still rather an imporatant part of making your house a home.

Even if you couldn't paint to save your life, you could still create a piece which fills you with joy whenever you see it.

Photography - If you really don't fancy painting, you don't have to get out the brushes!

Most of us carry a very powerful camera all day long - remember your smartphone?

With the help of some black picture frames at Best4Frames you could easily show off your photos from travels and trips by creating a feature wall as seen in the picture.

Textures & Furniture

Textiles - Along with the things you put on the walls, a lot of flair can also be added to the rooms in your home with textiles. From knitted blankets and pillowcases to homemade curtains and blinds.

The fabrics you choose will make all the difference and in an instant - you can get different tools from hobby shops but it's worth shopping around for materials and textiles in boutique-style shops to ensure you add a unique luxury touch to your home.

Furniture - Finally, it's time to consider the furniture in your home and what better time for a change than now?

Just think, if you start now then everything will be sorted in time for Christmas.

If you've ever assembled a flat pack piece of furniture, you probably have an idea of how much you'd enjoy building a piece from scratch - this sort of approach will give you loads of freedom whilst also enabling yourself to learn some valuable skills.

Everything takes time and as long as you enjoy what you do, that's all that matter as this will make the experience much more fun for you.

Hopefully, this post will inspire some of you to start having more of an impact when it comes to the interior design of your home.

A lot of people skip changing things in their home once settled but by making that extra effort - the whole energy in your home can change for the better.

Every so often, instead of buying pieces - opt to make something yourself in your own time, it'll be much more satisfying and unique for your home too.

You know that we all love reading your comments so let us know what you think.
