I love writing about beauty and makeup products and in this post, I’m writing about the Physicians Formula Makeup and Skincare products which were kindly sent through to me.

You get the best of both worlds – skincare and makeup. All formulated to look after and nourish your skin.

Physicians Formula – About

Physicians Formula is a brand that has been around since 1937, with their headquarters in the USA (California to be precise) – specialising in products which are Hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.

Physicians Formula – Rosé All Day (Oil Free Serum)

Starting off with the Rosé All Day Serum, this is a product that I liked right away – for the fact it’s an oil-free serum.

Personally, I love products that can be used and incorporated into your skincare routine – along with your makeup routine and this is a products which does just that.

Specially developed and formulated with ingredients to nourish, hydrate, brighten and tighten the skin.

With:

  • Rose Water (Hydrating, Soothing and Nourishing)
  • Goji (Anti-oxidant and Protectant)
  • Kakadu Plum (Vitamin C and Brightening)

This is a pearluminous – a pearl luminous formula which will not only nourish your skin but it will make your skin glow with a gorgeous radiance.

Can be used alone or under makeup for a beautiful glow. When using this under makeup, I start off by applying to key ‘highlight’ areas such as the cheekbone, along the nose and on the eye area before patting my skin lightly.

Priced at £12 – this is a bargain product for what is does and how it benefits the skin.

Physicians Formula – White Clay Halloysite Mask

Moving onto the White Halloysite Clay Mask, this is a mask which is suitable for all skin types and formulated to clarify, brighten and cleanse the skin.

Containing natural ingredients, this is a cream-to-clay formula which when first applied has an appearance to lightly air-whipped cream however as this dries on the skin, it turns into a white clay, drawing out the impurities.

  • Halloysite Clay

Halloysite Clay is a key ingredient for acne-prone skin as it helps to clear pores, nourish and balance any excess oil which can cause breakouts.

Overall, this is a detox face mask which helps to balance and draw out impurities whilst nourishing and hydrating the skin, leaving it feeling fresh, soft, smooth and hydrated.

This doesn’t strip the skin or leave it feeling like it needs to be moisturised and I would recommend using this 1-2 a week, on pamper days to help your skin.

Priced at £9.99 – you can’t go wrong!

Physicians Formula Butter Eyeshadow Palette – Sultry Nights

Moving onto the makeup products, take a look at this beautiful eyeshadow palette which works wonders for all skin types and colours – all year round!

The universally flattering eyeshadow palette is a lovely addition for every makeup-kit and as you know, products like this are great for travelling too.

With this palette, you really get a beautiful range of buttery colours which can be used in different ways to create a variety of lovely makeup looks.

As I’ve said before, you can use eyeshadow as a highlighter and in desperate needs, eyeshadow to contour so palettes like this are wonderful.

Physicians Formula add essential ingredients to their makeup products which all work with your skin as you wear…

  • Tucuma (Moisturising)
  • Essential Fatty Acids
  • A butter blend (to glide and blend onto the skin beautifully)

The eyeshadows are all beautiful to use and the brand has really achieved that lovely texture we all love.

No more cakey or cheap powders. Nowadays, makeup just keeps evolving and the powders featured in the palette have a powder-butter texture, gliding onto the skin and blending beautifully.

Priced at £15.99 – this will last and I bet this will be a go-to for many people!

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

As a lot of you know, my go-to is bronzer. It’s a product that I use all-year-round as it’s a complimenting product and gives my skin a lovely ‘warmth’ – a glow.

If I want to add a pop of colour, I’ll add a small amount of blush onto the “apple” of the cheeks but it’s not something I do all the time, compared to bronzer.

Physicians Formula have yet again developed a lovely product which glides onto the skin and blends beautifully for a natural, warm glow.

At first, I’ll admit, I didn’t want to use this as the compact powder was so unique – featuring a wave design that I really liked.

Inside, the bronzer sits on the top compartment and when opened, you can lift the first compartment to reveal the lower section which houses a mirror and the sponge brush. I didn’t use the brush which is included as I prefer my makeup brush.

There’s a reason this is called the “Butter Bronzer” thanks to it’s special blend of butters from the Amazon which provide that creamy, luxurious feeling.

This works and acts like a powder however when applied to the skin, this glides and blends beautifully, giving you a gorgeous glow.

It also contains pearl pigments to add a radiance to your skin – this is right at the top of the list of bronzers and I recommend it for anyone who’s currently looking for a bronzer.

Priced at £12.99 – a little goes a long way!

Physicians Formula Gel Eyeliner Trio – Eye Booster

Moving on to another key makeup products – eyeliner!

I reach for my eyeliner on a daily basis. It’s a part of my makeup routine and I love the look that eyeliner gives, it transforms a makeup look and adds that definition and focus onto the eye area.

You’ll be able to see that these are brown eyeliners and as you know, I normally go for black – I prefer the look I achieve with black eyeliner however I did give these a go.

Each eyeliner is different with each one giving you a different look.

  • Shimmer – This helps to provide that touch of shimmer which helps to brighten the eye area. The shimmer particles capture the light beautifully and I recommend this for the upper lashline online.
  • Satin – Muted when compared to the shimmer. This offers a ‘sheen’ and can be used on the upper and lower lashline. I tend to use this for smudging too.
  • Matte – This is matte, there isn’t any sheen and I use this on the lower lashline and just under the lower lashline for a lovely look, helping to define the eye area.

If you look closely in the photo showing the three eyeliners, you’ll be able to see that each pen reflects the effect the eyeliner gives.

Would I recommend brown eyeliners instead of black? Personally, I still love my black eyeliner as my eyes and colouring is darker so I feel like black works better on me.

Having said that, I do like these brown eyeliners and think that the three different textures helped me to create a look that I like and have been using them much more than I originally thought I would be.

These are suitable for contact lens wearers and are delicate on the eye area too – always a bonus!

Overall, I’m very impressed with Physicians Formula and with their slogan of “Where Nature Meets Science” – I can’t wait to see what other products they’ll be bringing to the market.
