Olay Anti Wrinkle Primer Review *

Olay is a brand that I’ve known since I was a little girl, it was one of the the main brands for skincare products and to this day still continues to dominate the skincare market.

The Olay Anti Wrinkle primer is a 2-in-1 hydration and primer which claims to offer long-lasting hydration and smoothes skin.

Olay Anti Wrinkle Primer – Packaging

First thing is first…the packaging!

The primer comes packaged in a lovely purple box, it’s sleek, neat and looks great – my only negative point about the packaging is that when I took the primer out of the box the labelling on the tube was wonky, really wonky and I didn’t like that.

(I have a thing where everything has to look neat)

The primer has a pump applicator which is quite nice as it’s airless and a lot more hygienic!

Olay Anti Wrinkle Primer – Texture

If this product was sent to me unlabelled and I was asked what I thought it was I would say it’s a moisturiser.

For some reason, in my mind I was expecting this to have the texture (and look) of a gel-cream but it’s a creamy cream haha!

The texture is lightweight and instantly sinks into the skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth.

The other thing I have to mention is the smell, this smells absolutely INCREDIBLE….it’s so fresh and is the best smelling ‘primer’ on the market hands down.

Olay Anti Wrinkle Primer – Lasting Power

Ok, so over the past couple of weeks I’ve been applying this every morning to cleansed skin, skipping my moisturiser due to the hydrating properties in the primer, before applying my makeup.

In minutes of applying my skin feels super-smooth and is ready for the makeup.

Throughout the day my skin is kept hydrated however I do find that my skin has a ‘dewy’ look to it rather than a matte look and I do prefer keeping my skin/makeup looking matte throughout the day.

In regards to it being an ‘Anti Wrinkle‘ product I can’t really say I’ve seen a difference as I don’t have any wrinkles – yet!

Olay Anti Wrinkle Primer – Thoughts

Although this isn’t a product I would have gone to purchase for myself I have to say I do like it and I do recommend it if your skin is dry. This will keep your skin looking and feeling nourished and smooth all day long no problem.

You don’t need to apply any extra moisturiser and the Olay ingredients work their magic in this product to deliver long-lasting hydration during the day.

If you’re like me and want make-up/skin to look matte then I wouldn’t recommend this as it’s not a product for you.

I’m going to be using this until it’s finished and I may go and purchase one after it’s finished just for the smell alone (yes it’s that nice) – I don’t think I’l use it as a primer but I will use it on my no make-up days when I want my skin to feel and look smooth 🙂
