MOR Lip Macarons
In this article, I'm writing about the MOR Lip Macarons and as you can see, they're beautiful - not only in their design but as an actual product.
I've never tried anything from the brand until now and I have to say, I'm really impressed with these lip balms / macarons but you'll have to see all the details below. 😉
MOR have created 9 varieties of the Lip Macarons - each in a different colour and scent so you can switch things up depending on your mood.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - Apples
Starting off the MOR Lip Macaron Review with the first lip balm out of the three.
This Lip Macaron / balm is called 'APPLES' and as you can see, it comes in a green colour which is actually rather pretty, it's not my personal favourite, however it compliments the name perfectly.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - Apples - Scent
If you're reading this and thinking that this lip balm will have a strong apple scent - it doesn't.
When it comes to lip balms, you don't want the scent to be overpowering. This is so, so delicate - think of sweet sugary apples with a floral touch.
If a scent can be described as pretty, this is it!
MOR Lip Macaron - APPLES - Balm Colour / Texture
Open the balm and inside the green tub, you're greeted with an almost white solid balm.
I say almost white as it's a gel-white. It's not a solid white colour but more of a sheer white with a very subtle shimmer.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - French Vanilla
The second out of the three balms - French Vanilla!
Again, MOR have co-ordinated the balm colours to their names and I love the simplistic feel from French Vanilla.
What I love about the packaging is how the gold adds a luxury touch to the balm, it's not at all over-the-top and just looks great.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - French Vanilla - Scent
You know how some vanilla beauty products can smell too sweet? This isn't the case here.
Again, the scent is extremely delicate however French Vanilla is sweeter than the Apples lip balm mentioned above.
Think of sweet vanilla with a waxy twist.
MOR Lip Macaron - French Vanilla - Balm Colour / Texture
As you can see in the picture the balm looks white however in person, it's almost white again. It's a gel white, not a solid white and has a very, very subtle shimmer in the balm.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - Rosebud
Ah, the final balm out of the 3 which I'm writing about and perhaps the prettiest of the lot if you're a fan of pink!
MOR have kept the range consistent and as you will have seen, the brand co-ordinates the product name with the packaging colour and scent of the lip macaron which is a really nice touch.
MOR Lip Macaron Review - Rosebud - Scent
Out of all the balms, this one has the strongest scent and that's due to the Rosehip oil which is used.
Rosehip oil comes from the seeds of a specific type of rose and is used in many beauty products.
As soon as you use the balm, you're greeted with a beautiful rose scent - again, it's delicate and not at all overpowering but stronger than the other lip balms.
MOR Lip Macaron - Rosebud - Balm Colour / Texture
The Rosebud Lip Macaron is a more solid white colour - I'm not entirely sure why the colour is whiter in this balm but it is.
All the lip balms are solid and with the warmth from your skin, the balm melts slightly, turning into a lightweight oil which when applied - sinks into skin almost instantly!
MOR Lip Macaron Review - Key Features
Here are some of the key features you might like to know about the MOR Lip Macarons!
- They're all rich in Shea Butter, Lanolin, Vitamins A & C and rich in Omega 3, 6 & 9 to prevent premature ageing.
- Castor Seed, Jojoba Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil and Papaya Seed Oil are some of the key ingredients used to rejuvenate, hydrate, heal, soothe, soften AND retain moisture!
- Can be worn alone for a subtle shimmer, under lipstick to hydrate or over lipstick for extra hydration and shine.
