Look After Your Skin With L’Occitane
All the daily stress and change in weather can take it’s toll on our skin and now, more than ever, we need to look after our skin – properly!
A few weeks ago, I was kindly sent some products by L’Occitane – a brand which I admire and after taking the time to test their products, it’s now time to write about them, sharing my thoughts on how / if they can benefit your skin.
L’Occitane Oil-To-Milk Facial Make up Remover
Before people with oily / combination skin say “this won’t work for me” – it will. This will really benefit your skin.
In fact, this is a wonder product for all skin types and what I personally love about this formula is that it’s a lightweight product yet nourishing on your skin.
On initial application, this feels (and acts) just like an oil. Massage the product onto your face and neck and watch the makeup melt off your skin. Add water and this is where it all changes!
From an oil product, this changes into a lotion / milk product which simply rinses off your skin effortlessly – without a heavy or greasy feeling.
How To Use
I don’t use this in the morning, this is a product which I only use in the evening but I’ll use it – twice. What I call a ‘double-cleanse’.
Apply 1 pump of product into the palm of your hands and massage over your face and neck, massaging into the skin for 1-2 minutes – helping to remove makeup.
Please be gentle around the eye area.
Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a soft face cloth.
Apply another pump of product to the palm of your hands and massage onto your face and neck in circles – for another minute or so.
Once happy, rinse off using warm water before drying skin with a soft face cloth.
L’Occitane Cream To Milk Exfoliator
This has become one of my favourite face exfoliators as it’s extremely gentle on the skin and contains a wonderful blend of ingredients, such as pomegranate and almond.
I’m very fussy with face exfoliators as a lot of them tend to be too harsh on the skin however this is delicate and gets the job done.
Just like the cleanser, this transforms with water. On initial application, it acts and works like a cream and when you add water, it turns into a cream / lotion product which cleanses, buffs and leaves your skin feeling smooth and looking healthy.
The product goes from a cream / white product and once massaged onto your skin, it becomes a peach / red colour.
How To Use
Once I’ve cleansed my skin thoroughly, I then dab a small amount of product onto the T-Zone, nose, cheeks and chin.
Applying first to dry skin, gently massage onto your face and neck area and then apply a small amount of water – continuing to massage the product gently, in circles.
This will help to buff your skin, leaving it soft, smooth and healthy.
Rinse with warm water and gently pat skin dry with a soft face cloth.
L’Occitane Aqua Refreshing Eye Gel
The final product that I’ll be writing about in this post – it’s a staple in my skincare collection and something which I think you’re all going to love.
Whilst most of us love our skincare products, a lot seem to skip eye care products and when you consider that the eye area is one of the most delicate on our face – why should we not focus on the area more?
Especially now, we’re all wearing face masks and with the change in weather, we need products to support and care for the eye area.
This is a lightweight, ultra-fresh and revitalising product which helps to decongest the eye area, helping to reduce puffiness and darkness – something more of us are suffering with with the daily stresses.
For those of you who are wondering – this is dermatologically and opthalmologically tested so you can use this product around the eye area with no problem.
As you can also see in the photos, there’s 3 metal rollerballs which help to cool the eye area – great for the morning and evening to help reduce puffiness.
How To Use
Always use on cleansed skin – morning and evening is something which I recommend as it helps to reduce the puffiness and provides a lovely cooling / soothing effect which is great.
A simple product to use, simply squeeze the tube and you’ll see the gel appear in the centre of the tube.
Delicately apply and move around the eye area letting the product ‘ settle’ on the skin and you’ll feel a lovely freshness.
I apply it to the under eye area and also on the upper eye area and arch of my brow – letting the product settle on the skin. If I’m in a rush, I’ll use my ring finger and gently ‘dab’ the product into the skin.
I personally recommend using this in the morning and evening. In the morning, I’ll apply around 10 minutes before applying my make-up and this is so the product can be absorbed by my skin.
You’ll feel the product working, refreshing and soothing the skin – especially in the morning.
For an extra cooling effect, I keep this in the fridge and this makes the metal rollerballs very cool – a lovely feeling when eyes are feeling warm or tired.
Who is this for? Everyone!
This is a product which I think needs to be in everyone’s skincare collection. It’s a wonder product that will help to soothe the eye area along with improving the appearance – helping to brighten and reduce the appearance of dark circles.
If you’re someone who uses the computer a lot – like me, add this to your skincare products collection. You won’t regret it!
