How To Stay Motivated When Working From Home
How To Stay Motivated When Working From Home – Working from home is becoming something of the norm, more and more people are now setting up internet-businesses, creating online stores and writing blogs.
I consider myself lucky that I get to work from home however it’s not as easy as people assume, essentially you’re your own boss, you work in your own time and you have the flexibility but you also handle – everything!
I’ll be covering all you need to know about full-time blogging in a future post but below I’m sharing some of tips and tricks on how to stay motivated when working from home.
How To Stay Motivated When Working From Home – Your Office Space
Your office space is key – it’s where you’ll be spending most of your time, especially if you write a blog or have an online-store.
Buy little desk accessories, organising compartments or storage / shelving units from IKEA which you can decorate to suit your style / office space plus it’s great for storing your documents, papers and press info too!
The main thing about staying motivated when working from home is creating a lovely atmosphere to work in – accessories like throws over your desk chair, cushions, candles and incense sticks are lovely too – especially in the Autumn & Winter! 🙂
How To Stay Motivated When Working From Home – Take A Break
From time to time it’s good to take a break, working for yourself doesn’t mean that you need to work from 10am till 10pm, go for a coffee with your friends, do some shopping – you might even spot something that you want to blog about! 🙂
Overall the main thing is creating a lovely atmosphere to work in, your office space is key and it’s another excuse for you to go shopping this weekend!
Let me know what you all think!

Hahaha thank you! 🙂 xxxx
Thank you for keeping me motivated with your words. I love working from home because of the flexibility but when I do need to take a breather and can’t think of anything else to do, I’d go and bother my two fluffy cats, haha! 🙂 xx

Awww thank you so much! Taking breaks is key – it does so much good! 🙂 xxx
I agree that getting your workspace sorted is one of the best ways to keep same while working at home. Personally I have to admit I’m guilty of doing most of my blog work from the bedroom floor of my room! I don’t know why but sitting on the floor is more comfortable for me- but it’s definitely not chic!
Would love to see a post in future all about full time blogging as well 🙂
