How To Pack Your Beauty Products – This is a popular question and many of you have been emailing and asking me how to pack your products for your summer holidays so I thought it would be good to dedicate a whole post about how to pack your beauty products! 🙂

We’ve seen so many bloggers and celebrities with their suitcases and they all seem to travel light – what’s going on there?

In this post I’m sharing some of my tips and tricks about how to pack your products, limit it down to the essentials and how to organise everything.

How To Pack Your Beauty Products – Take Products You REALLY Need

It’s easier than it sounds….

When I know that I’ll be travelling, I tend to start looking through my beauty products and organising what I need a couple of days before I start packaging.

I find that asking myself questions helps me organise what I really want so here’s something to think about when you’re looking through your things.

Do you really need 4-5 different concealers or will one palette do?

I find that taking away palettes really helps with the amount of things I take away with me, all you really need is an eyeshadow, blush and concealer palette! 3 items and much more space for your other things 🙂

Don’t pack your tinted moisturiser AND your Makeup.

What I do is take my normal foundation and moisturiser then I’ll create my own tinted moisturiser on holiday – this way you can adapt as you tan!

Don’t pack any eye skincare products.

You can use 2 spoons (dipped in cold water) from the hotel – this will soothe, cool and refresh your eye area just like a cooling eye cream!

How To Pack Your Beauty Products – Multi Use Items

It helps when one skincare or make-up product can double up and be used for a number of things….

Tinted Lip Balm

A tinted lip balm can be used to hydrate and soothe lips – especially in the summer, add a touch of colour (without the need for a lipstick) but also doubles up as a lovely cream blush!

 Hydrating Night Cream

Night Creams tend to be a lot richer than your day moisturisers so this means they can be used on your face and neck at night but also on your hands, elbows and legs – especially right after showering!

The summer heat will absorb the rich, hydrating formula much faster than normal and the night cream will ‘lock in’ the extra moisture (water droplets) from your shower making sure your skin is baby smooth!

Water or Cooling Mist

This is normally used to just refresh your skin during the warm days but water or cooling mists tend to provide your skin with extra hydration too but they can also double up as your toner!

Just apply the mist after cleansing your skin in the morning and evening.

Gel Serum

Gel serums are light enough to replace your daily moisturiser but their concentrated formulas mean that they work just as well in the evenings too – apply before your night cream for extra hydration, nourishment and a boost of ingredients!

Not only that but your gel serum can also be used with liquid foundation to give your skin a dewy glow – simply apply onto cleansed skin and immediately apply your foundation.

Black Pencil Eyeliner

Can be used on the upper lash line for a beautiful (simple) daytime look, on the lower lash line to define your eyes and smudged on the outer corners of your eye for a quick and equally beautiful smokey eye!

One product can be used to create plenty of gorgeous looks this summer!!!!

TipVaseline is a great multi-use product, it can be used on lips, cuticles, your hands, dry patches, on cheekbones as a highlighter etc….

How To Pack Your Beauty Products – Organisation

I might be becoming a little bit ‘Monica” from Friends but I find that sorting out my beauty products into different bags really helps – everything is much more organised and easier to sort through once you arrive!

Weekend Bags can be used to store your skincare products as they’re bigger, keep your cleanser, toner, moisturiser, foundation and body creams here so you know they’re all in one place…

Makeup Bags are smaller so your little bits and pieces like mascara, lip glosses and makeup brushes can go in here…

Small Makeup Bags are wonderful to store any little compacts like single eyeshadows, lip balms, nail polishes and even hair bobbles and clips!

There we have some of my tips on how to pack your beauty products – all you need is a little bit of imagination and to think about products that you can use in different ways.

You really don’t need 25 different skincare items or 30 different makeup products – think smart and pack what you REALLY need, what you’ll REALLY use and if you can’t limit it – take palettes when it comes to your makeup! 🙂

Organisation is key – sorting out your products into different bags helps keep your things neat and you can easily find what you want when you reach your destination without having to go through every suitcase as soon as you get there…..at the end of the day what you really want to do is relax, explore and enjoy your holidays right from the beginning!

Let me know what you all think – do you have any other tips that you’d like to add?

Feel free to comment and share your tips with everyone and let me know if you’re going somewhere lovely this year….
