Hey! It's the Sprinkles of Stye team and we're back with another post sharing some simple tricks on how to fall in love with your home again.

It's something which can happen to anyone at anytime and for reasons we might not understand. That awful moment when you wake up and realise that you've fallen out of love with your home.

This feeling could turn into sadness and unhappiness which is something that you don't want.

No negative energy should be in your mindset or home however, there are solutions to sorting out the issues and below you can see our simple tricks on how to fall in love with your home again.

de-clutter-home

Serious De-Cluttering

Every home contains clutter - essentially, it's items which are collected over the years yet we don't really need.

This is the perfect time to de-clutter your home and let go of things which may bring negative energy or thoughts.

Focus on getting rid of your old or unwanted items and think abut the new additions which will transform your home.

You may not have a lot of clutter in your home however, it's more than likely that you'll have some clutter around and by reading positive / lifestyle books - you'll be able to see that by tidying or de-cluttering your home, it can transform the way you feel and think.

Minimalism

By getting rid of unwanted clutter in your home, it's the first step in re-establishing control and loving your home once again.

Most people associate minimalism with being boring or 'cold' however - you can keep things to a minimal level yet still retain your favourite items and transforming rooms to be cosy, inviting and warm.

All you need to do is go through your belongings and to see which things don't make you happy - if you see something which makes you unhappy or holds sad memories then remove it from your home and replace it with something new that you'll love.

It's the perfect excuse to go shopping - go out and buy a new vase, a new side table, a new rug - something which will be perfect for the colder months yet which will transform your home into a loving, warm, cosy place.

By keeping things minimal (yet cosy) and by removing unwanted items from your home, you're not just tidying but you're also giving yourself a sense of mental freedom which will feel like you've lifted a weight from your shoulders.

Remodel Your Home

This is for those who have a bit more of a budget to spend on their home as remodelling isn't something which you can achieve in a few hours.

The aim is to imagine how you'd like your home to be if you could have everything your way - start planning the design out on paper. This should be something fun, exciting and of course - give you a positive boost to fall in love with your home again.

Browse online and look through furniture that you'd like in each room that a company like Shiply could deliver to you or browse different websites and online magazines for paint colour schemes that you'd like in each room to suit your style and the atmosphere you want to create.

This will take your mind away from the things that you don't like about your home and allow you to focus on the new things which are being developed / decorated and allow you to think in a more positive way.

As you can see, you can easily fall in love with your home again.

Everything falls down to positive energy and when you start thinking negatively about your home - everything starts to transform and everything will feel negative to you and your mindset.

Go through your clutter and remove any unwanted items in your home - by starting fresh, you'll start to see how your energy changes for the better.
