Higher End Skincare Products (Which I LOVE)
Higher End Skincare Products
Written By: Layla
Layla's back with a brand new beauty post and this time, she's featuring all the higher end skincare products which she's loving - at the moment!
Brands featured range from the most well-known brands in the world, such as - Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Murad and La-Roche Posay along with the less well known (but still great) A'Kin Skincare...
Higher End Skincare Products
Hey everyone!
It's Layla and I'm so excited to be writing up this new beauty article showcasing some of my favourite higher-end skincare products which I'm absolutely loving at the moment.
We need to look after our skin all-year-round however, this time of year, the weather really doesn't help - especially with all the temperature changes.
Braving it by leaving our warm home and offices to bracing the cold outdoors.
(In the UK for example, we've got the Beast from the East and yep - there's little snowflakes falling outside as I'm writing up this feature)
So, sit back and relax as I'm sharing some of my favourite higher end skincare products which benefit most skin types.
As you'll see there's a couple of face oils featured too which really help to balance skin levels (more details below) and leave your skin feeling nourished, soft and with a beautiful, healthy glow!
Higher End Skincare Products: CLEANSERS
Murad AHA / BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
You might have seen me write about this before however this is one of my go-to cleansers - especially when I feel like my skin needs an extra boost.
For me, it's a wonder product that I can always count on as it's a cleanser which really cleanses and really polishes your skin for a beautiful glow and even complexion.
On Dry Skin - This is great if you haven't exfoliated in a while. Apply a little bit of the product onto dry skin and massage (gently) for under a minute. Follow up by rinsing skin with warm water and pat dry.
On Damp Skin - If you use this everyday, apply onto damp skin and massage the exfoliating cleanser on your face a neck - it'll lather slightly and you'll feel it tingle ever-so-slightly. Rinse and pat dry.
As A Pamper Product - This is something which I do once a week. I apply the product onto damp skin and after massaging the product on my face and neck, I'll leave it for a few minutes. For me, this works in a great way as it allows the ingredients to treat your skin for a gorgeous glow.
La Roche-Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel
If exfoliating cleansers aren't your thing - take a look at this!
This is another cleanser which I love however it's completely different to the Murad Cleanser which I've mentioned above. This is a lot more delicate on the skin so it's suitable for all skin types, even people with sensitive skin too.
The La Roche-Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel is super-lightweight and hydrates your skin whilst balancing levels as it cleanses your skin so it's a great product to use if you're someone who wants fuss-free beauty products.
On Dry Skin - As above, this can be used on dry skin. 2 pumps of product is all you need for your face and neck area and by leaving it on for a couple of minutes, your skin will feel even more hydrated! Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
On Damp Skin - You only need 1 pump of product when using on dry skin as the cleanser is in a gel format and when mixed with water, goes a long way. Massage the product on your face and neck and rise with warm water.
Your skin will feel soft, smooth and nourished after use and the smell is lovely too - it reminds me of those pear drop sweets I used to eat when I was younger haha.
Higher End Skincare Products: MOISTURISERS, FACE OILS & SERUMS
A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil
This is a product which was sent to me a little while ago however, I hadn't actually gotten round to using it but a few weeks ago - it finally made it's way into my evening-skincare routine and you know what? I'm already loving how my skin looks and feels after using this - especially with all the cold weather we've been having in the UK.
If you follow Sprinkles of Style, you'll know that I only like skincare products that are lightweight on the skin and easily absorbed - I cannot stand the feeling of skincare products sitting on the skin after applying which is why I'm really selective when it comes to face oils (and my skincare products in general).
The A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil (which is certified organic) is super-lightweight, highly nourishing and sinks into skin in a matter of minutes.
I use this in the evening after cleansing my skin - applying a few drops (around 3-4) onto my face and neck, letting it absorb for a minute or so.
If you suffer with dry / dehydrated skin - you can also use this in the morning to ensure your skin is nourished and hydrated throughout the day.
In the evening, it's worth following up with a night cream to 'lock' in all the ingredients - I use a night cream most evenings, especially with colder weather conditions.
Murad Essential C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum Moisturiser
If someone asks me to recommend a moisturiser, I always tell them about this from Murad - it's a product that I absolutely love as it does more than moisturise my skin.
It calms skin - Have you ever suffered with a breakout after using a new product? Have you suffered with acne? Make sure you check out this moisturiser.
It's thicker in consistency and takes around 5 minutes to be absorbed by skin however the ingredients have been formulated to work with your skin as you wear it.
In the summer months, I tried a product which caused me to breakout - bad so I used the Murad AHA / BHA Exfoliating Cleanser and this Murad moirtusier every morning and evening - in 1 week, the rash had gone and my skin was looking super healthy.
Since then, if I'm trying a product which causes me to breakout - I reach for my two trustworthy products and this is one of them.
An all-round moisturiser which leaves your skin looking healthy and feeling nourished.
Pestle and Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum
One thing that I love through blogging is finding out about products that aren't available everywhere and Pestle and Mortar is a brand which is only available in selected places and of course, online.
An great all-round product which can be used by all skin types and yes - even the most sensitive of skin can use this.
A lightweight serum which has a slightly gel-esque feel to it however it's a super-lightweight product which is fragrance free - balancing oil levels, hydrating, soothing and plumping skin, leaving it feeling and looking healthy.
Depending on how my skin feels, I use this during skin pamper evenings when I use different products to benefit my skin.
Apply the serum onto cleansed skin, 2-3 drops is more than enough, letting it sink into your skin - dab onto face, not forgetting the neck area too!
This can be followed up by a night cream but I personally don't use anything after applying the product as I feel like my skin is nourished and hydrated.
Always 'listen' to your skin - you know your skin better than anyone else so use and apply what you think is right for your skin in that moment.
Higher End Skincare Products: EXTRA
Elizabeth Arden Skin Illuminating Night Capsules
This is luxury skincare at it's finest - I don't use these night serum capsules everyday, I normally use them the night before an exclusive event to really give my skin a beautiful glow.
(Makeup also applies and looks so much better after using these skin illuminating capsules)
Brightening your skin whilst you sleep, these capsules contain an exclusive Advanced MIX Concentrate™ - developed by Elizabeth Arden which works with your skin as you sleep.
Helping it to repair, minimising the appearance of uneven pigmentation, brightening dark spots and overall - leaving your skin looking healthy, plump and luminous - without a highlighter 🙂
How To Use - Apply only in the evening after cleansing your skin. 1 capsule is all you need for your face and neck as a little goes a long way.
