Five Trends To Look Out For This Spring!

Written By: Sprinkles of Style

Springtime officially starts at the end of March however, with the sunshine we've had - that doesn't mean we can't start dressing for it from now... 😉

In the world of fashion - anything goes! Whether you're after colour clashing outfits or neutral tones, as long as you're happy with what you're wearing that's all that matters.

But what happens when you want to add jumpers to your Spring outfits? Do you want to wear scarves as an accessory or do you want to show more skin and opt for jewellery - there's plenty of ideas and inspiration coming from the catwalk and here we have five trends to look out for which will take you through to the warmer months...

Tie-Dye

Popular last summer (as worn by Layla) tie-dye is staying strong in 2019 too thanks to being seen on the runway for shows like Calvin Klein, Prada and Christian Dior. MSGM offered a more kaleidoscopic side to things along with all-round, feel-good hippie prints making this stand out from the crowd!

Don't worry, this doesn't mean that you have to start bleaching your own t-shirts again (as fun as it is) but you can add tie-dye pieces to your outfits to bring some early summer vibes to your wardrobe.

Baby Blue

Pastel colours have been around for many years and this is another trend which won't be going anywhere anytime soon - with several big fashion houses capturing the trend and making this a lovely addition to everyone's wardrobe.

Think of baby blue blazers being teamed up with boyfriend denim jeans - moving comfortably into the summer months with sweet calming tones.

Opt for lovely accessories to add to your outfit, for example Henry London has a wonderful selection of blue / pastel blue watches with suede straps - things like this are a wonderful way to add a splash of colour to your outfit.

Continuing the theme with lighter blue tones, this season's denim range centres around bleached and patchwork designs after a focus on darker denims last season.

Scarf-Print Patterns

One of the easiest ways to update and 'freshen' up a look is by using accessories such as scarves - they're more than just neckwear and we're seeing more prints and designs being featured in magazines and on the runway.

We saw a bohemian theme at a few shows and silk scarf prints were seen on the dresses of Erika Cavallini and Valentino so make sure you check out the high-street for options as this adds a lovely bold look for your Spring wardrobe.

Top-To-Toe Neutrals

Last but not least and in contrast with colour, we can't not mention the monochrome look - this is something that works all-year-round and great if you want to keep things a bit more low-key.

This look was seen in the Spring collections of Burberry, Max Mara and Tom Ford meaning it's still a hot trend for 2019.

As we can see, there's plenty of inspiration to choose from and overall, as we mentioned, wear what you feel comfortable in and go forward with confidence!

For us, fashion is about having fun and experimenting with your looks so go out there and enjoy building your Spring wardrobe.
