Clarins Autumn Make-up Collection 2014

Hello all you lovely readers, as many of you know it’s been a rough few months as I’ve been really unwell, in and out of hospital and generally not keeping up with the blog but I am now back and fingers crossed I’m on the road to recovery! 🙂

This post has been a long one coming and it’s all about the new Clarins Autumn Make-up Collection 2014 – some of you may have seen my Instagram and Twitter, I was invited to the Clarins Head Offices in London and got to have a preview of the new collection!

As I’ve taken so many photos and want to show you as much as possible I’ll be splitting this into 3 different posts covering eyes, face and lips – reviews on the products will be coming in a few weeks!

Clarins Autumn Make-up Collection 2014 – Launch

This launched nationwide on the 3rd of August but after having a quick browse through blogs and bloglovin haven’t really seen it make that much of an appearance which is a real shame as it’s a really beautiful yet delicate collection.

Clarins Autumn Make-up Collection 2014 – Eye Quartet Mineral Palette

In the eyeshadow quartet mineral palette you get 4 beautiful shades which are highly pigmented and rich, they can be used everyday for subtle definition and in the evening to create a lovely, dramatic smoky eye.

You get 2 mini applicators which makes this perfect to take away when travelling or for those busy girls, to do your make-up on the go!

As you can see in the swatches above, the eyeshadows are all really lovely and have a really subtle shimmer which will really brighten up the eye area and capture the light beautifully really bringing the focus and attention to your eyes.

The eyeshadows can be used wet and dry – I love palettes like this as you can be so much more creative, use dry for shadows and wet for lining the eyes and in the outer corners when creating dramatic smoky eyes.

Clarins Autumn Make-up Collection 2014 – Perfect Eyes and Brow Palette

This brow kit is really wonderful, perfect for all skin tones and hair colours.

You get 3 different shades to define your brows depending on your hair colour, a highlighter to use on the arch or the brow, a wax to keep brows in place, 2 mini applicators to apple and define and 1 mini tweezer to keep brows perfect at all times.

The 3 shades are lovely and can be used by the fairest girls to the rich tan girls, there’s something for everyone plus you can actually use the shadows as liner too! 🙂

The highlighter I love, it really helps to catch the light and widen the eye area making you look more awake and alert – perfect for when you didn’t get your 8 hours beauty sleep. I would say the highlighter can be used all over the eyelids too and along the nose to brighten your face.

The wax is really unique, it looks like a wax and feels like a wax but when applied to your brows it’s more of a balm texture – it’s NOT greasy and it just holds hairs into place for extra definition.

You all know that I am a big fan of defining brows and I would recommend EVERYONE does this even when not wearing make-up….I can’t tell you how much of a difference it makes to your entire face!
