Steamcream Moisturiser Review – £12.95*

A few weeks ago I was sent this Steamcream Moisturiser to review and feature on my blog, I had heard of Steamcream but never got round to trying it so it’s something I’m really looking forward to writing about.

About Steamcream

Steamcream has a unique ‘steam’ process which fuses ingredients together, Steamcream claim that this means the product will sink into the skin instead of sitting on it and will also get absorbed much faster leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Packaging

The packaging is really simple, when your cream arrives it comes in a compact box and inside you’re greeted by a tin with a wonderful design on the lid. The design you see pictured above is limited edition.

I prefer seeing simple packaging as to me it seems like there’s more thought going into the actual product than the design .

Taking the tin out of the little box there’s also a little leaflet with some information about Steamcream and the brand.

Overall very simple and sweet 🙂

You can pick out of a variety of design for your Steamcream product which is a really nice touch and there are so many to choose from online – scroll down!

The Product Smell

This is the main thing, it doesn’t matter how pretty the packaging is, it’s always about the product itself…lets face it what’s a pretty tin going to do…nothing!

The smell alone is wonderful, as soon as you open the tin you’re greeted by a wonderfully uplifting aroma, think of it like zingy lavender – really fresh and relaxing.

The Product Texture

The texture of the cream is really nice, it’s has a lightweight, smooth almost airy feel to it and sinks into the skin quickly however it’s not something special as described.

How does skin feel?

I used this cream on my hands and after a few minutes of letting it sink/settle into the skin I could see and feel that my hands looked a lot smoother and felt a lot softer without that greasy feel so for me it’s a thumbs up! 🙂

Overall thoughts

I prefer this as a hand cream as I love how it sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t have a greasy feel to it.

As a moisturiser, I don’t know why but I don’t want to use it on my face but as a hand cream I do recommend it! 🙂

  • Awesome packaging. the cream sounds nice too. can it be used on the body? i like the fresh lavender smell you mentioned as that’s what I normally have 🙂

    • It can be used on the body yes, I prefer it as a handcream/bodycream rather than a moisturiser on my face…it has such a lovely refreshing, lavender type smell and leaves skin beautiful and soft. It also sinks in quickly without the greasy feeling which is a bonus!! 🙂 xxx

    • It’s a relatively new brand to me too! I love the design on the lid too…the one I have is limited edition however I’ve added a link on the post and you can see all the wonderful designs currently available on the steam cream website. They’re gorgeous!! 🙂 xxx

    • I prefer using it on my hands, it’s not something I want to use on my face but as a handcream it feels lovely, it keeps skin nice and soft and absorbs really quickly so you have soft, smooth skin!! 🙂 perfect haha x
