SHANGRI-LA HOTEL - Occupying the 34th to 52nd floors of Architect, Renzo Piano's Iconic Shard Building.
This Ritzy hotel is a 2-minute walk from London bridge Railway and tube station.
THE SHARD - Referred to as The Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower.
It's a 95-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London.
So as you can tell, there are a few little updates happening on the blog and as a lot of you know, I've recently added a "Travel" section to the blog too!
It's something that I've wanted to do for a while as I feel like a lot of you want to see more being featured on here and not just fashion and beauty.
This will now allow me to share some of the beautiful places I visit and travel to, whether it's with press events, product launches or simply my own travels! 🙂
Security - Bags are checked through a security scanner, like being in the airport. I personally like this as it makes me feel safer.
The Shard, London
The Shard, London is the 95-storey glass building which is now considered as a London Attraction. Immediately recognisable.
If you're in London - it's definitely worth a visit! The views are absolutely beautiful and the service is wonderful too - all the staff make you feel welcome right upon arrival.
Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London
The Shangri-La Hotel, at The Shard London is easily one of the best places I've stayed in!
Right from walking into the hotel, you're greeted by friendly staff who are on-hand to help you and take care of you right away.
Guided to the "Lift Zone" this is where you go to the upper floors (34th Floor) - The Shangri-La Hotel where you're then greeted by more friendly staff who guide you to your room.
My room was absolutely gorgeous and I can only assume that all the other rooms are equally beautiful.
Upon walking in, you're immediately greeted by the beautiful city views of London - everywhere!
My favourite time is in the afternoon when the sun starts to set over the city and when buildings start turning on the lights on - sparkly and stunning!
Shanrgi-La Hotel, At The Shard London - Bathrooms
Haha! I know that this might not be the normal thing to feature when reviewing a hotel but I do have a reason!
One thing that you have to remember is that The Shard is made from glass - the exterior walls are all glass and yes, that includes the bathroom!
There are blinds which you can activate and move according to where you are - half can remain open (to admire the view) and the other half can be brought down for privacy, like in the bathroom for example.
The bathroom was an in an element of it's own - with a huge bathtub on one side (along the window) compete with bath salts, bottled water and lovely, super-soft towels.
Built into the mirror, there was even a TV - talk about luxury!
On the other side of the bathroom, there was a huge walk-in shower with a door, again complete with all your essentials (and more).
Next to this you had a walk-in toilet, this was incredible as the seat was heated - yes, really! 😀
Shangri-La Hotel Room Features
Here are some of the features found in The Shard's Shangri-La Hotel Rooms.
- Automatic Climate Control
- Integrated Sun-Shielding
- Patented Body-Contouring Shangri-La Bed
My stay at The Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard London was absolutely amazing and I recommend everyone to visit at some point!
The hotel is extremely modern however it's super-comfortable and instantly makes you feel at ease which is just what you want from a hotel stay!
As you can see in the photo on the right - comfort! 🙂
